They are really not very effective in real life so don't expect much from them on this plane!

Trick to this is if your on descent and are using them as drag just decrease your decsent rate this will enable the aircraft to slow down, almost as if your descending but the aircraft is slightly pitching if you get me ...

Yeah, but i am gonna have a descent rate off 1800 fpm on Vatsim. When the controller tells me to descent, and i start my descent i don't have much time to "decrease my descent rate" because off this. I understand the speedbrakes doesnt have a big effect irl, but what can i then do?

I think he meant slightly pitch up to shallow out your decent rate.

Is it right to understand that you want an aircraft that brakes quicker than a real 737 so you can fly on VATSIM with a controller who gives you too late advise to descend? You serious? Is this real or am I the wrong movie?

I guess you could apply a specific decent rate?

Although the spoilers aren't very effective, like the real plane, they do work. If you are in vnav or lvl change, you won't see your speed decreasing unless you manually set a lower speed because with the greater drag from the speedbrakes, the autopilot will increase the descent rate to maintain the same speed. You can either lower the speed on the mcp or use vertical speed mode and decrease fpm.

He's probably gonna end up too quick or just too fast. With 737 correct planing ahead is critical. Or you do a turn if you can't catch the profile.

Yeah that is what i ment sorry if it didn't come across clear long day :)

Yeah I was thinking slowing down instead. Set a slow speed and the plane should pitch up and have a decreased rate of decent?

Speedbrakes are to correct your mistakes, not controller's. This plane will change the way we sim and that's why I love it :)
