First Actual Failure. Neat but Irritating

Recommended Posts

First actual failure today: Went to switch the APU on to cool the cabin and program the FMC in an AA -800, the EGT gauge budged, then nothing. I figured FSX was being screwy, so I referred to the CDU. No, it's broken. It sure is hot here in Nassau, guess it'll have to be fixed in the maintenance hangar.Thinking.gif

I need a good lawyer for the class action law suite for not raising landing gear up and hitting the mountain. 180 upset family members that want answers.

My brakes failed on the ground during taxi for departure. I thought this was only an FSX error or something I was just overlooking, so I took off without brakes. In the air I did some more investigation without any luck. When I landed in Ibiza (Spain) the autobrakes didn't work much. Stupid move :( But I still (barely) was able to bring the airplane to a complete stop using reverse thrust. But it was a close call. I just love this plane! :DI know I shouldn't say this, but I'm looking forward to the next failure of something, haha.

Yeah my Yaw Damper was shuttering on the last flight, needless to say I had to descend and didn't have a yaw damper the rest of the flight-Todd
