Will SP1 rectify calibration issues with FSUIPC

Featured Replies

Hello Will we be able to re calibrate our hardware throttles with FSUIPC correctly so AT does not keep disconnecting due to thrust imbalances and also be able to use thrust reversers after SP1 or does FSUIPC needed to be tweaked by the developer to work this the 733 NGX RegardsWayne

I use the GoFlight Throttle quadrant and have no issues with FSUIPC calibration or disconnections.

Saitek X52 Pro + Pedals fully calbrated through FSUIPC including reverser, no issues.

must just be the Ch Throttle Quadrant

No issues with my CHTQ. Is there an option to override throttle input when AT is on? Not home at mo so can't look. If so enable it so throttles don't affect aircraft when AT engaged

I initially had problems with my throttle quadrant and yoke after assigning functions with FSUIPC which I then found was due to FSX assigning functions also. The only function I have assigned through FSX is the POV with the hat switch on the CH Yoke. It may pay to go through the FSX assignments and make sure you don't have duplicated assignments through both FSUIPC and FSX.

if i dont assign the throttle axis through FSX i get nothing when I do it through FSUIPC, not getting the full throttle travel when using FSUIPC, are you saying that you dont need to assign the throttle axis to the CH throttle through FSX, does not work if I delete them RegardsWayne

For the Saitek Wayne I don't have any axis set in FSX, all are processed via FSUIPC. As Graham notes there is an option on NGX setup Aircraft/Equipment page 2 to set "A/T Maunual Overide" which in my case is set to Never.

I don't use the CH throttle Wayne so all I can do is advise what I do with the GoFlight throttle quadrant. Might not help but it's better than no replies. What I did was delete all assignments, except for the POV, within FSX, then used FSUIPC to assign all functions. Some don't work such as the GoFlight landing gear but for a while it appears I'll just have to use the "G" key stroke. Not a huge problem. After assigning all functions via FSUIPC I noticed a few quirks. After looking again in the FSX assignments some of them had been assigned buttons. I've deleted them a few times and the occasional one again slips in, but I think I've now killed them all. So if you use FSUIPC for your assignments, just check FSX doesn't have other functions assigned to the same axis or button.

Wayne, Attached a couple of pics showing my FSUIPC throttle settings, again this is a Saitek setup with no entries in the FSX controls.

Graham I take it the Go-Flight landing gear is an axis? Have you tried this:

I would uncheck throttle 3 and 4 in the first pic.....Only two engines on a 737 obviously. In the second pic not too sure about.....Looks ok initially. I can't compare it to mine at the moment, I'm interstate visiting my partner and won't be home until Sunday afternoon. Somebody else with a CH products throttle may be able to help better, but I'd be happy to post pictures of my FSUIPC setup for the GoFlight Throttle Quadrant when I get home.

Graham I take it the Go-Flight landing gear is an axis? Have you tried this:
The GoFlight landing gear is a switch. The reversers on the GoFlight throttles are buttons. It's those which gave me a problem as I had them assigned in FSUIPC to continually press F2 when active, then F1 when inactive. For some reason when I used the reversers my view would also switch to outside view. When I looked in the FSX assignments it had the reverser button set to "next view" so applying the reversers would actually perform two individual actions. I deleted the FSX assignment, but for a while it set itself again......eventually it remained deleted and now the throttles and reversers work fine which is why I advised checking there are no FSX assignments.

The Saitek X52 throttle is a single axis, thus I have it setup as a generic four engine, works fine with just two. You could of course use the aircraft specific profile feature.

Anyone know why PMDG recommend NOT using FSUIPC to calibrate their controls ? Glen
