August 19, 201114 yr Hello, I was unsure exactly where to post this but I figured that here would be a good idea with all the real experts of FSX. I am looking for the "Miracle Tweak" for FSX. I know my hardware can do better because I have seen it perform better in other application. I have sent it through the online tweaker, changed the amount of trees and buildings per cell, perfbucket=4 but the one I just can't get is usepools=x. Whenever I use 1 or 0 i get stutters. The performance seems to be better when these tweaks are applied but the stutters are maybe 1 every 2 secs so its unplayable. August 19, 201114 yr Author I tried Antilag and it worked but it still stutters down to 11FPS at YMML in the NGX and hovers around 20FPS when not moving the view. Any suggestions will be haled, I really want this system do what its meant for.i have done the setup guide. To as much as I can follow. I haven't seen the other one though. August 19, 201114 yr Read it. But you're going to sit and think "that doesn't apply to me because I have a big ego and my system can run it maxed out". The guy is being realistic. He's got it right. Try his settings first, then slowly bump them up till you get the best. And I will not get 1TB for FSX. I only use 41GB and it may blow out to 50GB but not much more. Know of a smaller HDD. smallest these days seems to be 500GB. August 19, 201114 yr The difference of Hard drives isn't going to increase performance. It'll increase texture loading and loading times at best. Apart from that it won't do anything. I think the best option would be to partition off 100GB maybe.Well, thats why its a little slow, go into BIOS and the multiplier is back at 33x, . Only thing that has changed though. Getting the latest, largest and fastest SSD won't get rid of the stutters or increase his performance. All that will do is make loading times shorter, textures appear quicker (instant) and boot times. Performance (is FPS) is not related to the hard drive. Andrew. I'd suggest running FSX on Mathjis' settings in YMML, then slowly increasing them one by one till you get the optimum. And if I hear any more bad language, or references to it, or anything deemed unsatisfactory, I'll report you to the mods.
