Yes. Basically, with a 60Hz monitor, V-sync off you get tearing, V-sync on, the teared frames are skipped causing a stutter. If only we got 30Hz monitors

I have it set at 60Hz. I can put it to 75Hz in the nVidia control panel but I am still not using VSync. I will be going for this monitor I think, I don't know if it will help stutters but my GPU actually works better at 1080p.http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=17297

Basically, the higher the Hz, the more microstutters. You want a refresh rate as close to the average FPS (30's) for minimum stutters

it says that this monitor has a digital signal frequency of 50-76Hz so it will help.

Well as I said, the closer the frequency is to the actual FPS, the less the stutters.

well that won't help. If only there were a way to reduce the Hz below 60Hz.

Pretty much. Or see if you can find a 30Hz monitor

30Hz! they would be ancient wouldn't they.got an old CRT monitor but the GPU would probably not bother and walk off.

Exactly. It'd be impossible to find one and the picture quality and resolution would be horrible

So thats why I found my GTX 570 on the floor one morning. It refused to work with my old analog LCD. I told it that it had to or I get an ATI, that fixed it.LMAO.gif

just finished off a 45 minute stress test and the highest temp was 68degrees on core 3 (that is actually core #2) at 4.7GHz and 1.35V. All seems fine.

Interesting personality they have.Little question, what should my PhysX be running off. I think it is on the CPU at the moment. Honestly I really don't know.

Doesn't really matter. Another piece of technology FSX fails to utilize. Although I'd set it to GPU to take the load (if any) off the CPU

What about not having any pre-rendered frames in the nVidia Control Panel. It is set at 3 at the moment, the recommended setting.
