The Miracle Tweak

I use a GT525M (laptop) so what should my [bufferpools] section contain?
As Dario pointed out, only ONE is needed. I recommend you try [bufferPools]PoolSize=30000 Put that line at the top of the CFG.
Play with them Andrew, pick your own favourite... or if you run Bojote's web tool, like Ironmaiden said it's a Bojote tweak, it will suggest one that fits your hardware
Dario, Did you get my PM?

Ok, it all seems well just the desktop keeps going blank after I exit fsx. I can colour in the screen by hovering over desktop items but I can't start a new flight, well I can but it only loads sound, and I have to exit the sim for it to go back to normal.

When it crashes it is after i have left my flight the crash is from g3d.dll. Hmm. Anyway, I am putting the CPU to 4.8GHz. I will run it here for about a fortnight then maybe try 4.9 or 5.0GHz. Anyone got an idea why it might be going back to default multiplier settings?

On my board for the AMD , I need to setup CPUNB 8x / HT LINK 18000 / HT WIDTH 16 / and the multiplier 15.5 (the multiplier can not go above 15.5 for X3) . Are you raising the FSB ?

Just to make sure I'm clear here about one of the suggestions being made... Bojate's tweak website gave my fsx.cfg the "[bufferPools] RejectThreshold=131072". It has every time I've run it and I have never bothered to mess with testing either of the "[bufferPools] PoolSize=30000" or the "[bufferPools] UsePools=0" because I thought it would select the best one for me. If I understand what is being said here correctly I should test the other two and see if there is an improvement in frame rate? Did I understand that correctly or am I too sleepy to be reading this thread? LOL.gif

That's correct. Test all three, but only one at a time. Use whichever gives best results.

Edward I see no difference on my system I don't why I have tried all the Bufferpools settings. Maybe it will not work on mine.

virginaus, put this under [graphics] and try STALE_BUFFER_THRESHOLD=2147483647

will do.

try some others but the one bojote gives you is probably best.

Do you exactly know what that does, is it to just get rid of stutters or could it improve performance.
