I would suggest backup the fsx.cfg and let FSX rebuild it , then check if it is still happening. Don't touch anything on your hardware level till you rebuild the fresh fsx,cfg.

Yeah it's not VRam. Something else. Oh. Forgot to say, poolsize=30000 works magic for me. In the NGX VC, looking at 65% UT2 traffic at AS EGLL I get the same frames 12-18 but it's a LOT smoother.

yeah, I also use 30000 and I get don't get less that 15FPS on approach to YMML in the NGX but on the ground it doesn't go below 20FPS. 85% WoAI.

Poolsize=30000 is good on my system. with Ant-aliasing mode to Adaptive multi sample AA. I have set my texture bandwidth to 400 for faster loading of textures, it will not work on all GFX cards. VirginAus, Did you rebuild the fsx.cfg ?

Ok, a clean build of the .cfg has not fixed it. I just get one issue after the other, not fair. First CTD's, then slow, then these!Is there a reset defaults shortcut on inspector that I am missing?found it.

A secret I found in my display settings is I set Anti-aliasing Mode to Adaptive Multi-sample AA and there I noticed a boost in FPS. But I don't see any degrade in fps but I will try lowering it.

I have that black screen too. What's the problem...? I see no problem. If I don't want to shut the computer down, I simply open a window (whatever window) and make it fullscreen and that's it. The black screen is gone. It's a bit odd and mabe a little annoying, but it's not a problem... It's not that the computer will be dead in a day or two... I also have problems due to Antilag, that I cant easily alt-enter into windowed mode when I want to do something else while flying. This is solved by opening the taskmanager with (ctrl-shift-esc) and all is fine. Some problems aren't real problems imho.

Done all. 1280x1024, fsx runs the same. I have tried resetting from inspector which did not do it, I didn't do it from control panel.

Poolsize=0? And we're both high flyers. We don't need thousands of trees per cell. All we need is the airports and the bit at 30000+ feet in between.
