Good Scenery for FS2004 or FSX

Featured Replies

Hey I'm sorry if this is in the wrong thread or what ever it's called. I'm looking for a good scenery package typically for FSX or FS2004 for the north American region for Canada/US. I fly there in those regions all the time. Any suggestions for payware or freeware sceneries that cover that area? I have GEX PRO and I didn't see a huge improvement. But again I just want a scenery package that is quite realistic for the north american region in FS2004 or FSX. Thanks ;) BTW I'm really new to forums and crap at using them so sorry about all the confusion I may cause

Hi and welcome to the forums. If you want an answer that relates specifically to FS9/2004 this is the place to be. There is a seperate forum for FSX users. GE Pro is one of the best add-ons that makes the ground textures more realistic. I personally have not been a fan of photo-real ground textures, which would obviously make flying more realistic, as I fly faster and high flying aircraft. Even though I have a reasonable system I still suffer from 'blurries' that seems to be the bane of FS9.Others may think differently of course. and if you are flying a 'low and slow' aircraft you may want to consider photo-real packages of which there are numerous. As you would consider FSX packages and are looking for the North American Region try the Mega Series. http://www.megascenery.com/ Others I am sure will offer you alternatives. Thank you both of you guys! Really helped me find some stuff for FSX and FS2004! Sorry i'm still getting used to this forum and still trying to learn how to get notifications for posts which I posted. Once again thanks for the replies and i'll be sure to check them out!

the glacier bay freeware addon is great for the northern rockies.

What Dave said +1: that would be the files; glbayv2a.zip and glbayv2b.zip at AVSIM - Freeware.KBOS Boston Logan Intl. by George Grimshaw: file name; boston_logan_1.1.zip at AVSIM - Freeware.KPHL Philadelphia by; Shehryar Ansari available at " http://www.sunskyjet.com/ " Free or donation.Misty Fjords by Holger Sandmann; Payware available at " http://fsaddon.eu/wpfsaddon/ "CYQT; Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, available at" http://www.flightont....com/index.html " Freeware. (all above are for FS9) This is indeed the short list. There is a huge amount of scenery, terrain and land class, both payware and freeware available that is the highest of quality. The list above could give you plenty to explore while you search for more! I hopes this has helped answer your request. I don't think you will be disappointed. Best regards,Mel Edit:P.S. Sorry about the tiny text in spots, like usual I don't know how I managed or should I say mangled that. Big%20Grin.gif

Absolutely essential (in my opinion anyway). Ultimate Terrain packages for USA,Canada and Alaska, and I would suggest a subscription, it's cheaper, to FSGenesis. After which there is a mountain of scenery freeware to download and add. Personally I don't like photo scenery, colours are "wishy-washy". You may also like to try FScene for 2004 as an enhancement. The list is endless, I hope !! Echofox

I must say thank you everyone. Now I have a lot of scenery to look through and to get. THANKS, and a special thanks to mebull for some Canadian scenery too. Been a great help all of you guys!
