August 25, 201114 yr Yes im cruizing at fl350 but cannont maintain CRZ speed..., And yes i set CDU correctlySounds like you're using FSUIPC wind smoothing with ASE direct wind control. I may be wrong, though. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
August 25, 201114 yr Author I dont have ASE and my fsuipc isnt registered Francis Tremblay Montreal, canada
August 25, 201114 yr Crap. I'm at a loss. I had the same thing happen and that was my problem. Sorry. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
August 25, 201114 yr Author No problem, thank for trying help me :) Francis Tremblay Montreal, canada
August 25, 201114 yr What is the OAT at altitude (the TAT reading on engine display will give you an idea)? There have been issues with some weather tools turning on the heat for whatever reason...usually around 40c or so. The jet can't perform with those temps at altitude. Problem solved by reloading weather... Scott Burns
August 25, 201114 yr Author Yes TAT is currently 59 and me too I think THIS is the problem, but this is the fsinn weather generator that im using and cannot recycling it :SAnd already tried Max rate in climb page Francis Tremblay Montreal, canada
August 25, 201114 yr The problem to me sounds like you do not undersatand VNAV very well. Are you flying a planned route with altitude and speed restrictions ? Fred. Frederic Steiner.
August 25, 201114 yr Yes TAT is currently 59 and me too I think THIS is the problem, but this is the fsinn weather generator that im using and cannot recycling it :S And already tried Max rate in climb pageThat's exactly the problem! The extraordinarily high OAT is robbing engine performance...you should be in the negative C range at altitude or thereabouts. A few others have reported issues with FSInn's weather. ASE does it from time to time as well (I have ASE). Scott Burns

August 25, 201114 yr Yea, this likely has nothing to do with the understanding of VNAV and everything to do with the artificially high OAT at altitude. I bet once you get that temperature back to a realistic range, you'll find all the performance returns. High temp, less dense air = crap engine performance. ;) Scott Burns
August 25, 201114 yr Yes, check your outside air temp. You may need to set the weather theme to "clear all" and restart your weather engine. That usually clears up the problem for me. Chris Hicks
August 25, 201114 yr Author Ok, thank you all, Burnspot find the solution what I did, put the FSinn weather on Cavok then in the world-weather, i put updated realistic weather now TAT is minus 18C and performance is back to, what I think, normal :) thank you all, fantastick product too! Francis Tremblay Montreal, canada
August 25, 201114 yr I had climb issues until I checked the 'gusts' and 'variance' boxes in the FSUIPC wind tab, in addition to the 'turbulence' box which is recommended with PMDG planes. AJ Pongress
