August 28, 201114 yr Hmmm, thats weird, because Ryan mention in a previous thread that manual extension is not modeled. I found it. "Manual extension is not modeled because you can't decouple the gear in the FSX system - they all have to come up/down at the same time. Just press G. There are certain limitations we just have to live with here, this isn't a real airplane.Ryan Maziarz" I dont think a satisfactory work about has been found for this issue yet. MarcusjIan
August 28, 201114 yr I think Ryan says that you can't lower the gear separately. Not just the nose gear for ex.jos denis
August 28, 201114 yr Looks like he said manual extension of individual wheels is not possible. But im not sure if thats the reason why they decided not to model any form of manual extension at all. I would think that a simple manual extension for all 3 wheels at a go, although not the procedure, would be possible to implement.Anyway the general consensus from that thread was "no way to extend gear now that all hydraulics have failed" and "land on belly"(crash in fsx terms) Unless im wrong, if its possible to perform some form of manual activation which Im unaware of. Do correct me.Marcus Jian
August 28, 201114 yr same here, no click spot, so if we lose both hydraulics, we really have to land on belly? :( Bryan Richards "People depend so much on automation that they forget how to get the automation to work." B.W.
August 28, 201114 yr same here, no click spot, so if we lose both hydraulics, we really have to land on belly? No; Ctrl+G.
August 28, 201114 yr i checked the key commands in the PMDG menu, CTRL+G seems to unlock the gear lever, like the gear lever lock override (i.e. to be used when the gear handle wont go up or down) or am i mistaken? August 28, 201114 yr No; Ctrl+G.ctrl+g is unlock the gear and unlocking the gear is not the same as extending the gear ... same here, no click spot, so if we lose both hydraulics, we really have to land on belly? I think they said just press g (it should would work even without hydraulics < this is what I read, never testet it before), because they didnt modeled the manual gear extension edit:testet it with all hydraulics fail (sby,a,b,1,2) ... no way to get the gear extended ... so bellylanding ftw :) P.L. August 28, 201114 yr hmmm ok will try it on the next flight Bryan Richards "People depend so much on automation that they forget how to get the automation to work." B.W.
August 28, 201114 yr I swear Ctrl+G, is manual extension.I did it 20minutes ago...strange ... in my buttonconfig in the cdu its gear unlock and it doesn't work for me P.L. TranAMD Ryzen 5800x; 32 GB Ram; EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3; Win10 64 Bit

August 28, 201114 yr Jamalje, help us out here, what exactly did you do, did you fail/turn off both hydraulics, then what did you do? Did you select the gear lever down, and then used CTRL+G? Bryan Richards "People depend so much on automation that they forget how to get the automation to work." B.W.
August 28, 201114 yr Jamalje, help us out here, what exactly did you do, did you fail/turn off both hydraulics, then what did you do? Did you select the gear lever down, and then used CTRL+G? Exactly, turned two of them off, at FL200, even went as far as to shut down both engines in flight, then Ctrl + G, and I held them, they came down, a bit jerky but they came down. If you let them go, they wheels stop extending.I tried it with gear lever up and down, and I've yet to see a difference.
