August 28, 201114 yr hmmm sounds like the default manual gear extension, im at work now but could someone try holding CTRL+G until they come down, maybe what's happening is that we are just pressing it and letting go at the same time Bryan Richards "People depend so much on automation that they forget how to get the automation to work." August 28, 201114 yr hmmm sounds like the default manual gear extension, im at work now but could someone try holding CTRL+G until they come down, maybe what's happening is that we are just pressing it and letting go at the same time I held for quite some time...
August 28, 201114 yr I hold them for over 2min now (ctrl+g) and gear wont come down ...and which hydraulics did you turned off ? there are 5 ? P.L. TranAMD Ryzen 5800x; 32 GB Ram; EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3; Win10 64 Bit
August 28, 201114 yr I hold them for over 2min now (ctrl+g) and gear wont come down ...and which hydraulics did you turned off ? there are 5 ? Just for the sake of it all Mr. Tram?I'm doing it in incremental to see if I can recreate anything that you might be missing.I've turned off all HYD Pumps,Tried it, got the gears down,I tried turning ELEC HYD PUMPS A&B off and ENG HYD On and I got them down manually.I tried turning ELEC HYD PUMPS A on ; and B off, they wont extend manually or through gear lever I tried Engines on, HYD PUMPS off, no extension At all. That's what I've gathered, I forgot to pause FSX while switching, my NGX Crashed, restarting.
August 28, 201114 yr can you try this again with this failures ?ah ok I was talking about full hydraulic failure ... maybe it only works when some hydraulic pumps are working P.L. TranAMD Ryzen 5800x; 32 GB Ram; EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3; Win10 64 Bit
August 28, 201114 yr Hi, From the introduction manuel PMDG : " How can I operate the manual gear unlock? In some cases we have had to improvise a bit in order to give you the ability to test/operate items that normally require two button presses or two hands. In the case of the manual gear unlock, press the click spot on the lock for 2 seconds and it will simulate the operation that normally requires two hands." Don't know if I answer to the question ? August 28, 201114 yr That is unlocking the gear lever, not manually extending the landing gear in the event of a complete hydraulic failure. August 28, 201114 yr http://forum.avsim.n...o-i-lower-gear/here is the link from an earlier topic ... Manual extension is not modeled because you can't decouple the gear in the FSX system - they all have to come up/down at the same time. Just press G. There are certain limitations we just have to live with here, this isn't a real airplane. so no manual gear extension if hydraulics fail ... P.L. TranAMD Ryzen 5800x; 32 GB Ram; EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3; Win10 64 Bit
August 28, 201114 yr http://forum.avsim.n...o-i-lower-gear/here is the link from an earlier topic ... so no manual gear extension if hydraulics fail ...Exactly !!! That is what Ryan said. Enjoy the belly landing. Frederic Steiner.
August 28, 201114 yr I tried one belly landing before :)if this was a real flight it would be my last ... thx fsx and ngx for just being a sim :) P.L. TranAMD Ryzen 5800x; 32 GB Ram; EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3; Win10 64 Bit
August 28, 201114 yr Doesn't, work with failures.thx for your test P.L. TranAMD Ryzen 5800x; 32 GB Ram; EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3; Win10 64 Bit
August 28, 201114 yr thx for your test I'll try re installing my NGX...Have done some cfg playing around before, maybe this could be an underlying factor. Take in mind if I take long to reply, it's because I'm on a shared computer.
August 28, 201114 yr Sorry to bring that forward again but how come something is possible on a sim developed a few years ago and not on a 2011 plane?...The PDMG MD-11 has a hatch with a manual gear release handle. With hydraulic system failure I've managed to extend the landing gear on several occasions using this handle.More here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/329073-landing-gear-failure/ Now, out of the real 737 world: "...If the gear fails to extend properly or hydraulic system A is lost, the gear can be manually extended by pulling the manual gear extension handles, located in the flight deck. This should be done in accordance with the QRH procedure. On NG aircraft opening this hatch affects the operation of landing gear extension & retraction..." Correct me if I am wrong but I think that this feature is important enough to have assigned animation and should be present on the NGX flight deck.I understand that the limitation of FSX does not allow separate gear extension but all three red levers can be linked to all gear down command. Better than a belly landing at the end of the day... Regards, Martin Martinov / VATSIM 1207931
