September 14, 201114 yr Too bad, I asked another guy who did the Joke Air paint earlier and im waiting an answer because he seem to get no issue with that, and his paint is perfect! Hi there, I'm sorry I forgot about your question and never replied! I'm not doing anything different than what has been mentioned. I flatten my master file, then using the selection tool, I select the section using the guides they provided, then copy the selection before pasting it. One thing mentioned above that I also do is to zoom in very close to insure a precise alignment with the guides. Let me load up my plane and focus on that area and see if I can see it on any of my three liveries. Upon further reading, I think I see why you dont see that on the liveries I've put out so far. I have not had to cut art that will then have to line back up. Except for Delta, My stripes are solid and go down the entire length of the paint kit fuselage without breaking (I could just as easily export a -900 instead of -800) so there is never a gap to be filled in my case. How are you all dealing with the window (where the first split occurs) that seems unevenly spaced between the two surrounding windows? I can't think of a way to fix it without altering the whole paint kit. Chris Hicks
September 15, 201114 yr Jeff, I noticed the red selection region is off by one pixel, but it shouldn't make any change on the white line when the color is full cross-section. I'll post an exemple later on.Pete it is nice to have you on the forum! I don't have much time on painting but when I do I like it, except if I have to scratch my head for something I don't understand too well...Even if my graphics would have some faulty settings, I guess I would have troubles with your paints as well?
September 15, 201114 yr Chris, No problem about my question no worries... I just would like to post my Canjet livery but because of that I'm not....For the record I use Rectangular marquee tool, Fixed size to 4096x4096 to cut and paste. Photoshop CS5, flatten image first, have the nvidia plugin to export in .dds... I dunno what's wrong. Have a ATI graph card. I still see a white line on the back of the aircraft even if I croos the entire section with blue??? I could try to send you a merged .psd file so you see by yourself in some way? Any help here would be appreciated! Thanks

Just to gather some possible causes - did you try to turn off antialiasing? Does the fuselage crack line still display with antialiasing off? Dave P. Woycek
September 15, 201114 yr Sorry you guys are having problems. Try upping your AA settings if possible if you're seeing the line even if you have a solid color spanning all textures. For graphics, such as wavy lines, try nudging one section a pixel or two closer to its mate. We are looking at this issue from our end. September 16, 201114 yr Pete just to let you know that I tried almost everything from game related or driver related AA settings with the new AMD Catalyst center spending a whole evening and I see only small differences but not much to be honest. I would like to tell you my appreciation for just answering our request as I know there is alot more to get care of right now.
September 17, 201114 yr I think I have discovered the solution to this problem. I first discovered it when I completed my first livery. It was a Canadian North and the blue paint on the aft end of the fuselage had a very noticeable white stripe through it. I messed around with it and seemed to almost have it, but upon close inspection in the actual sim, it was still there. I did another livery (Ozjet) and it had a black rear fuselage. When I completed it, the stripe stood out like a sore thumb. After trying every trick in the book, I looked at the PMDG liveries and the Kulula livery, but could not work out what was going on. I had almost given up, when I referred back to the PDF document that came with the paint kit. In it, I read that "You have to have MIP MAPS turned off". I went back to DXTBMP and sure enough, I was saving my textures with mip maps. I went and checked the file sizes (as mip maps increase the overall size of the texture sheets) and sure enough, instead of the normal 16mb, my files were 21mb. I bought all of my finished files back into DXTBMP and then resaved them without the mip maps. Voila! 16mb files and no white stripe anymore. I'm on my newest livery now and it has a blue rear fuselage texture and sure enough, it's without the stripe, too, in the sim. Hope this helps you guys, too, Frank Cooper
September 17, 201114 yr I've tried everything but I can not solve the problem.I suspect that the PMDG 738 model covers not optimal ?? This problem is present even in the PMDG Home color 737-800WL see below Hikmet Cercevik Intel® Core i7-2600K CPU @ 4400Mhz | 16GB DDR3 @ 1600Mhz | nVidia GTX480 @ 700Mhz | 22" LCD Monitor @ 120Hz 3D| OCZ 240Gb SSD | Raptor 300Gb HDD | Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit | FSX | Prepar3D
September 17, 201114 yr Hey Hikmet, Did you read my comment above? Have you tried it? I have and it works. Frank Cooper

September 17, 201114 yr On the subject of the paintkit, can anyone tell me how to do the night textures (lighting) for the tail - there is not night_tail psd file, I've ask this question in another post with only one response.
September 18, 201114 yr I read this in the other thread and it works, so here it is: I had the same problem, and I'm not sure if I'm doing it by the book, but I found a solution:•Open up the tail pds in adobe photoshop•At Top-right, click channels•click on the alpha layer•select all and copy•Open new psd (empty)•paste•save as, for example, ngx alpha, as a bmp•*open up tail pds in dxtbmp•on the right top, there's a white square, at left-bottom of the square, there's a icon of a file(it's labeled import alpha layer) click it•navigate to your ngx alpha bmp•click select•save as dds dxt5 Done! Once you've saved the alpha layers, you don't have to do all these steps again; you can start with* Frank Cooper
September 18, 201114 yr I suspect it to be an issue with the model. The official paints I have installed have this problem too.. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers

September 18, 201114 yr I dont use the guide lines, what i do is,create a new layer 4096 by 4096 pix, drag it on to the master fuselage three times, and then crop the image, that gives you the correct master size, then delete one of the 4096's and use the other two to crop the three sections of the plane ,that way i get three perfect size 4096 by 4096 sections.
