Ryan (PMDG) Help (FIX) required please Re. attitude on finals

Recommended Posts

Guys, not trying to be harsh but if PMDG's adviser thinks it is spot on, PMDG definitely need to consult some other tech advisers regarding this issue (or book a FFS and try it themselves). Even if there were not real 737 pilots among the guys reporting this issue in the forum, so many people are rarely wrong. Trying to be as factual as possible, normal attitude for 30 is ~2º @57%, for 40 it is ~0.5º @63%. This settings work pretty well with the real thing. With the NGX, dual channel app, I see that it is doing shallower attitudes (most noticeable with flaps 30). And as for the touchdown attitude, the FCTM is (obviously) right, and a normal flare in the real thing (-800) ends up with something sensibly close to 4º at touchdown. NGX is way off in this aspect. Talking a little bit more subjectively, it definitely feels way too floaty and unnatural during the flare, but that is hard to describe objectively (the behavior during the flare is fine-tuned subjectively even in level d sims). Hope it gets fixed.

Well, this *is* offensive and I'm locking this thread. There were no less than 10 guys flying this airplane in real life on our team and none of them complained about this during 6+ months of testing.
