September 1, 201114 yr Hi! I have a question, in the ngx, the only way to open any of the doors is (at least this is needed for me) to either have ground power connected or the APU running. Is this really realistic? if so, how do the pilots or technicians enter the plan after the plane has been shutdown over night for example?:) Niklas Eriksson
September 1, 201114 yr Ground Crew unlocks it manually by a key or something similar, early in the morning I guess./ Leffe Leif A Mikkelsen **********************
September 1, 201114 yr If the door has been closed from the outside then logically it can be opened from the outside. William Hall
September 1, 201114 yr 737 main doors are fully mechanical, no electric items for the opening/closing.I think to understand what you mean about the PMDG NGX where you need the FMC to do this. With aircraft unpowered, push for 2 seconds the MENU key on the left FMC, it will power up for FS menus. In this mode you can open the doors without power. Regards Andrea Daviero

Hi Andrea! At least for me its possible to enter the menu segment of the fmc, but if you enter the doormenu, nothing happens if you push the "open door" button, unless you have ground power connected or the APU running.I thought that the doors where all mechanical and that is why i refer it to be unrealistic;-) /Niklas Niklas Eriksson
September 1, 201114 yr I see this too. I also see that the outflow valve is closed when i start a flight, while it was open of course when i saved the flight. So i think the doors are locked because of this. As soon as there is a power source connected the valve opens and the doors can be opened too. Gerrit
September 1, 201114 yr I really never tried this procedure as I've not tested also the 2 secs. button push for entering in the menus. The only remaining test you can carry out is to power on, then off the plane, without exiting, and see wat the outflow valve does, and see if you can open doors. If outflow closes it is an bug, same for the doors. Regards Andrea Daviero
September 1, 201114 yr Author The problem is still there if i do i flight, lands and shutdown the engines at the gate, then the doors wont open until i connect the ground power or turn on the APU.Not sure about outflow valves though. Niklas Eriksson
September 1, 201114 yr FS key commands works? (I don't know if door are linked to the shift+E) Regards Andrea Daviero
