Airstair sound.....

Featured Replies

When I am in the VC and, via the FMC I deploy the airstairs, there is no sound of this at all. If I go to spot view I can see the airstairs deploying but still no sound (I have external sounds on). Then when I go back in the VC there is a sound which I'm sure is the airstair sound but it keeps going and, although I haven't let it go on for long, it does seem as if it would keep going. Pressing Q twice kills it. However, my point is that the airstair sound is not behaving as it should. Otherwise, Armen, all the other sounds are absolutely superb! biggrin.png My rig is Gigabyte mobo with Core2Quad Q9650 @ 3.0GHz, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, Geforce GTX550Ti 1GB video card and Soundblaster Audigy sound card. I very much doubt you are able to hear the airstairs moving when sitting in the cockpit!/Norbert Plate

Iain, I've noticed the exact same thing, you should report a bug.

You can

Hi Iain, The airstairs sound was not implemented - what you are hearing is the classic FSX sound bug which affects all aircraft - pressing "Q" twice fixes that. We will aim to add the airstairs sound in the next SP. Thanks,
