It's started
I am disappointed! I mean, have a look at how the rear side windows of the cockpit are modeled. I had the possibility of looking at one of the windows like 2 weeks ago when air plane spotting at our local international airport here. When looking at the screenshot above and comparing it with what I saw there and then, I believe that the lower back corner of the window is off by several degrees! I wonder how they can overlook these kind of detail: Just go airplane spotting for a couple of hours and you will see clearly what I am talking about!!! I just hope those guys from PMDG will rectify before the initial release. Norbert Plate

PMDG secret project
Since MAAM stopped developing the DC-3 I seriously think it would make perfect sense for PMDG to jump in. They got the DC-6 ready (almost), a DC-3 would look good next to the DC-6. A DC-3 from PMDG.....I would pay double the money they will ask for it!!!! And yes, I do believe there is a reasonable market for the DC-3 to make it worth while for PMDG..... / Norbert Plate

Almost a month has now passed since last SP update...
Kevin, you might have missed the point I was trying to make. You are asking for the "why" in your reply to my post and I was actually trying to provide you with a simple answer before you replied to my post. Anyway, it is not my intention to stir around or to argue. As mentioned in my post, I totally agree that PMDG is developing according to their own standards and time frame. So wasn't demanding anything, just trying to explain why I would like see more updates, if possible... So don't get me wrong Kevin! Peace Norbert Plate

Almost a month has now passed since last SP update...
Isn't it more a thing of being curious? Curious of how the development is going on? Curious of what to expect? Maybe when? etc. Isn't it more a thing of being part of a community? While everybody is talking about "the flight simming community" it might be just, because we bought one or more products from PMDG, that we feel we are somehow part of this community. Me, as someone who hardly posts here, would like to see updates on a regular basis as well, just because I am curious and I would like to know what is going on with "my" T7, with "my" 737, with "my" 747 v2, etc. but I understand and respect that PMDG is developing according to their own standards (and rightly so!) and that PMDG is defining the schedule. Someone also should not forget, that RSR himself stated that he spend a few days in hospital. Maybe this is delaying the delevopment as well. In case it is: From my side: All the best and I hope you, RSR, will get better soon. Norbert Plate

Provision of PMDG777 EZDOC files
Richard, if not supplied by PMDG, I am sure that some clever guys from the community will publish them here on Avsim right after the release.... Best Regards Norbert Plate

Spoilers after landing
usually you arm the spoilers with ctrl+/There should be a green light in the cockpit coming on, confirming the spoilers are armed. Hope this helps/Norbert Plate

Will PMDG ever announce a release date again?
I think they will! The day yesterday with all the updates on Facebook and some of the posts here was way too funny! On the other side: I would like to know how much in productivity around the world got lost yesterday, gets lost today and will get lost over the next few days because us waiting, downloading, installing, checking out and flying! I was 1hr30min late into the office morning since I had to download, install and had a look at her! Anyway, well worth it! /Norbert Plate...so excited...

NGX Single Engine Taxi
Isn't Airbus putting an electrical motor into the front landing gear which is powered by a little fuel cell? I believe they are going to test it very soon or testing it already. Next to saving fuel while taxing or waiting on the taxi way it will allow the airplane to push back on its own as well, so no need for a pushback truck anymore, which will save operation costs as well. On top of it it will reduce noise as well since the engines only need to be started at the holding point of the rwy and can be shut down right after landing. I find this idea very interesting.Norbert Plate

Exclusive Preview of the 737NGX: Virtual Cockpit and Virtual Cabin
Alright Captains, here we go:Excuse the mess with the livery, but this was created long time before the actual paint kit was finished! Other then that: Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LetZCr4NEsc Hey, this video is way to cute in order not to post it! Hope you guys don't mind, but I really liked it! Norbert Plate

PMDG Airac 1104
Richard, Tempelhof got officially closed in October 2008. That is the reason why you can't find that airport in your Airac data since, officially at least, you are not allowed to land there anymore! Hope this helps! /Norbert Plate

Update?
Ryan, that's cool! The "101" is flying daily over my house when on final for rwy06 at Lanseria (FALA). Been on her a couple of times flying Lanseria - Cape Town, very nice livery, indeed! Good to know that there will be liveries of smaller carriers as well! Thanks! Norbert Plate

Re: NGX impending release: Are we there yet?
Looking at how long this yoke is going on already I wouldn't be surprised at all if they would model one...norbert plate

So how does the PMDG 737NGX compare to...
The question is not really what/how:- the release date will be- the recommended computer specs will be - the comparison to the PMDG 737 for FS9 will be- the coffee machine in the galley works- we can wipe the dusk of the gauges and panels- the entertainment system in business and eco class is modeled....The REAL question is: how much a brand new 737NGX will cost!I am not really interesting in buying used aircrafts within FSPassengers where you don't know the previous owner and you don't know the service history. Also aircrafts with a lot of hours on the airframe a no go for my fine but virtual airline. Only brand new planes, out of the box, thats the way to go for me. But for how much?! 60million? 70million? or maybe a 100million?!?Any ideas?! I just want to be ready the day I get delivery of the 737NGX.....And talking about FSPassengers and now a "serious" questions to the developers: The seatbelt switch: Any possibility for the developers to model that switch in a way that FSX and therefore FSPassengers will know about it when the switch gets activated/deactivated? Just like with the default planes? Other then that: Looking great! Nah, looking fantastic......fabulous ;)Best Regards from South AfricaNobbi Plate

Your favourite route under about 90 minutes?
I only can second Paul's recommendation: LSZH! - Very nice airport in real life with a very nice scenery from FSDT- Interesting landscape around the airport (the Alps to the South)- Very interesting SID/STARS to fly- All major European Airports near by and most likely you get descent scenery for those airports (FS9 and FSX)- Good ATC coverage on both networks (IVAO and VATSIM)/Norbert Plate
