Provision of PMDG777 EZDOC files

Featured Replies

To ensure that the motion simulation of the aircraft is accurate to PMDG requirements, will PMDG be supplying a set of EZDOC files for the PMDG777?

Cheers, Richard

Richard,

if not supplied by PMDG, I am sure that some clever guys from the community will publish them here on Avsim right after the release....

AOA will most likely supply a camera set as part of their 777 training package if you go that route. The set they provided with their NGX package worked perfectly for their training lessons.

Just about to post the same. Nothing stopping you importing the 737 and realigning each camera as required

Yeppers, I plan to use my 747-400 EZDOK camera files as a baseline and tweak them as necessary

If no freeware ones are made I'll make one and post it.

Thanks for your replies, but I am looking to PMDG to supply them to their own specification. After all, we shall be flying a PMDG simulator, not just guesses by others.

That will never happen. IMHO ;)

That will not make any difference whatsoever.

As long as the cockpit dimensions are accurate then whereever the view point within that cockpit is does not matter. Its all personal choice.

There's no right answer to producing EZDOK motion functions.  It's all subjective.  On ground vibrations depends much more on the surface condition than the aircraft type.  Camera resonance is down to personal choice.  I mostly turn motion effects off anyway as I want to be able to select MCP controls with the mouse and keep them selected while I adjust them.  Motion often moves the mouse off the clickspot and makes adjustments literally hit and miss.

The kind of things which are characteristic of an aircraft (buffets and vibrations) aren't used by EZDOK anyway and I doubt if PMDG get that data from Boeing either.
