Update?

It's really that hard to give us an update? There wouldn't be any critical comments if you communicated periodically. Sure you don't owe us an update, but the only reason we care to know what's going on is because we all love your products and we're dying to get this one!Hiram Hunt

Oh yeah.Generally, I wouldn't troll like this. I have better things to do than trolling. But let's do a bet. How long until this thread is locked, or probably deleted? The winner gets a free NGX (((Shame%20On%20You.gif))).

No deal. Not until they are announcing prices.

Ok. Now let's talk like the grown people we are (or were supposed to be). Do you think that PMDG has been goofing around or 'sleeping' at work rather than trying to finish the NGX? Do you think they are less anxious than us to get this plane released? Give them a break. Many of us have already noticed they are not spending as much time here as they used to. We all know them. We know they won't stop until it's finally done. *I* know they are having more work than ever before to get this product ready for release. But did *you* realized that? Instead of trying to create a better environment and support them even more in this final approach, you are just making things harder for them. This forum was way better. As Ethan said in the just-locked NGX thread,

It is sad. I think several months ago...(November/December)...People were so enthusiastic. The forum was alive. There were 737 related quiz threads, people were buzzing. Now, the general attitude seems that of exasperation. I wish we could all have the same enthusiasm as we did before. Every time I check the forum it seems like someone is mad at someone else.
I know this post will have little impact or no impact at all in some brains that will decodify this external stimulus, but stop a minute to think. Put yourself in their place. Randazzo gave us a good notion of how much they are working in the last few days to get it done. I believe they don't feel pleasure anymore when reading this forum, because all they find are complaints, complaints and more complaints. The NGX is almost being released. Just a few weeks to go. I know it seems too much time to wait, but imagine how much time you'll spend playing with it. Imagine how worth this wait will be.Let's just try to be more friendly and understand their side of the story. That's it. I'm just making my point before this thread gets locked or deleted and I really hope you understand it.

What do you base your assumption on that there are only a few weeks to go barfra? There haven't been any updates. That's my point. They have time to delete and lock threads but they don't have time to say anything regarding the product that we so eagerly await. I posted a thread here two days ago explaining to all the whining children on this board why this product was taking so long. Because it's revoloutionary in what it's bringing to the genre! Of course that thread was removed because I also mentioned that the mushroom treatment from PMDG wasn't a very good method of communication with their loyal fans and customers. I have a crystal clear understanding of the difficulty of what they are trying to do. I used to be an instructor at a US Part 121 airline, I understand the difference between a level-D simulator and what FSX is. They are bridging the gap between the two. Kudos to PMDG and good on them for doing it!!! But that doesn't negate the fact that they are mushrooming the customers right now. They said months ago there would be night screenshots. Haven't seen them, have you? They implied three weeks ago that beta start was imminent. Nothing since then. Don't hype the customers up and get them excited and then go into blackout mode. There are numerous examples of other people complaining for months about no updates. The last time everyone went bonkers for an update we got a great one. Maybe the wheel has to squeak enough to get some grease.Hiram Hunt

As someone who has been a customer of PMDG's since they released their first 737, I have become resigned to the fact that they do not release products as quickly as I would like BUT when they do release them they are absolutely amazing. Just try to keep that in mind.

Just let PMDG take care of this thread guys, and I'm behind PMDG to delete/lock this thread what's a little wait? Don't you have other stuff to do?*Cough* Your lawn needs mowing *Cough*It does not make sense arguing with one who will not change his mind set/attitude towards the company. To the OP: Nobody is forcing you to buy the aircraft. If you don't want epic reality, awesome graphics and an awesome experience all round, then it is your pick.

In fact, I don't know. I'm just guessing.I have to agree with you that PMDG has been rude with us lately. But that may be because they are working a lot. When you have a tough day at work, don't you get home angry? The same happen to them. As I said before, we have to try to avoid this angry toward them and let them work. PMDG is their hobby. They don't have the obligation to finish this. If they want, they can suspend the future projects because they can't afford the costs and they don't have enough time to do it or whatever. In my opinion, PMDG lose time to come here and lock threads because some kind of discussions lead to bigger problems, giving wrong informations, making people belive in something that is not true and thus giving even more headache to them to fix the subsequent problems. We have to agree that disturb them with update requests isn't going to make the process faster either, right? But I also agree with Jimalje. There is no way I could change one's point of view toward PMDG or anything else. It just won't happen. Many tried before in older threads with other people, and we know that they still have the same attitude. I am not going to try to be like god here, even because I'm atheist. I'm out.BTW, all those "you" in my previous post were not refering specifically to you, Hiram, but for users in general. Just to avoid misunderstanding :(.

Mr rsrandazzo did mention that most of the pmdg team had stopped working on the ngx and that the final finishing touches were being applied to the aircraft(testing i assume). That was a few weeks ago now. So either something major has gone wrong, or they are wanting to release 2 planes at once. But no updates is just annoying, considering they said the plane was meant to go into beta a couple weeks ago!

This is nonsense. If there is anybody guilty of 'hyping' here it is fellows like you who have nothing else to do but baby-sit this forum and expect a steady of flow of images, updates, looking at imaginary clock and speculating how imminent the release is. I wish I had so much free time. Your posts sound like from a typical gaming 'teen', hard to comprehend you were Part 121 instructor at some airline or maybe it is another charade.
