FSX Fatal Error

Recommended Posts

All I was flying the NGX earlier on in the week for one of the first proper flights I was nicely in the cruise and browsing the web when FSX encountered a fatal error I am almost certain that this is NGX-related as my Level-D 767 never encounters this problem... Any advice would be much appreciated I am running FSX with SP2 767++++++++++++++++System Specification++++++++++++++++Intel i7 860 2.8 GHz4 GB of DDR3 RAMXFX 5850 1 GB GPUWindows 7 64 bitAll drivers up to date

i got a few ctd's in the past but not since i installed the latest hotfix. do you have that installed? i would not do anything but fly when using fsx. the ngx probably is more hungry for resources than the LD.

So after just one (1!) CTD you're blaming it on the NGX? God knows what happens inside a computer. It might be an isolated event.

I'm not definitely blaming the NGX, no
I am almost certain that this is NGX-related

Hello 767,(please use your real name in the posts).Open the event viewer and look under applications to see what the faulting .dll was.Only then, can you be certain it's a PMDG issue.Definitely not recommend to be surfing the web at the same time as FSX is a hungy beast.

ATC: Yeah, it's OK. He's not hungry.

767? Where you flying online by any chance? If so IVAO/Vatsim? The only time I have had this fatal error is with the known issue with IvAp.

Hello anonymous, "I was nicely in the cruise and browsing the web when FSX encountered a fatal error" What happens when you just fly?

Yesterday evening had my first fatal fsx crash since the new rig and reinstall. Should this be worth a support ticket? I was on final at LOWW ILS11, and nearly crashed a Glider!!!! :) on final. It seemed to be on final as well, no idea how it got there at night, maybe mytraficX had a bad day :(. Anyway a few seconds or maybe a minute later I had the fsx fatal error. I only added this info, since I've read in another topic, that the TCAS might cause this? <Event xmlns="http://schemas.micro...08/events/event"> - <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1000</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>100</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2011-09-20T19:00:27.000000000Z" /> <EventRecordID>4197</EventRecordID> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>BOND-PC</Computer> <Security /></System> - <EventData> <Data>fsx.exe</Data> <Data>10.0.61637.0</Data> <Data>46fadb14</Data> <Data>PMDG_737NGX_3.DLL</Data> <Data>1.0.0.1</Data> <Data>4d580618</Data> <Data>c0000005</Data> <Data>000087d7</Data> <Data>cbc</Data> <Data>01cc77b9768b40bf</Data> <Data>C:\FSX\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe</Data> <Data>C:\FSX\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\GAUGES\PMDG_737NGX_3.DLL</Data> <Data>cd3b9733-e3ba-11e0-964c-1c6f65c8a5e2</Data></EventData></Event>
