September 25, 201114 yr Hi guys, as some of you might know, Frankfurt am Main (EDDF) mostly got its new runway. I'm wondering whether Aerosoft is planning to get that changes (rather big ones, so saying it's too small to get changed in FS is ridiculous) online in FS. Is there an update or a completely new 2012 version planned or nothing at all (Would be a shame!!)? Do you know something about this?I know this should rather been posted in the Aerosoft forums but I don't want to make an account used once in a lifetime. September 26, 201114 yr Yes, an update is planned for later this year or for next year. It was mentioned two or three times in the Aerosoft forum. When exactly it is going to happen and how big the update is going to be is yet to be seen. Let's hope it won't be long.

September 28, 201114 yr These are very good news. I hope it'll be an free upgrade to current owners. That would be the usual procedure for Aerosoft - they are pretty good about that sort of thing. BUT the big question will be whether or not they will update the FS9 version as well as FSX. My guess is that they will not and the update will be FSX only. I hope I'm wrong but based on recent experience, that seems what will probably happen...

Not good hopefully you´re wrong with that! :( Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
September 28, 201114 yr Uhh, that would be definitely bad. So they force me to get FSX working again!? Not good hopefully you´re wrong with that! Me too but with very recent experience of that particular debate with Aerosoft (new update to LHBP Budapest) that seems the most likely scenario... For a while there it looked like Aerosoft were going to stick with us FS9ers as a kind of niche market but that seems to be changing and like so many other endangered species, it looks like we're all slowly being relegated to the extinct category... I'd love to be wrong on that!
October 27, 201114 yr Hey, guys! It's been a month since this topic saw its last activity. But I thought it does not make sense to start a new thread. The goods news that has just appeared in the Aerosoft forum is that the upgrade will come. The info comes from Oliver Pabst and the German Airports team, so it is credible. The original thread can bee seen here: http://forum.aerosof...port-frankfurt/Looks like the update wilI come in two stages:1. Soon: an update on the existing EDDF2008 including the new runway, new taxiway layout, new runway lights (important for FSX ground shadows) and updated AESLite2. In a few months: a brand new scenery of EDDF2012 using all the latest techniques and tweaks available for scenery designThe first one will definitely be available for FS9 users - why wouldn't it be?The latter - hard to say. Time will tell.I am very thrilled about it as EDDF has always been my favourite airport, both in reality and in the sim.

October 27, 201114 yr Author Good news this afternoon! But unfortunately I´ve left FS9 now for FSX. Hopefully this interim update will be for FSX too. :( Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

November 5, 201114 yr Gents, the phase-one update is available! Just log into your Aerosoft account and download it.It will now be version 2.02 (updated from 2.01).It is the simple update (the new runway and some necessary infrastructure added), so do not expect a major rebuild yet. That one is to come later, I would suspect somewhere in the first quarter of 2012, but it is just my speculation.Have nice landings in Frankfurt after Angela Merkel!
November 6, 201114 yr Thanks Rafal. Just downloaded it, will test around later today Hoang Le i7 13700k - Sapphire Nitro+ AMD RX 7900 XT - Asus TUF Z790 PLUS D4 - Gskill Trident 32GB DDR4-3600 LG 34GP63A-B Ultrawide - ASUS VG259QM MSFS2020
