Interesting article on wired.com about the 787

Featured Replies

I was reading about the delivery of the 787 to ANA and came across this article on wired. I would have loved the opportunity that this witer has, and apparently the author is not new to the world of aviation. It's a good read and all I can say is I would love to have their flight training device in my house!Kevinhttp://www.wired.com/autopia/2011/09/787-flight-training/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+wired%2Findex+%28Wired%3A+Index+3+%28Top+Stories+2%29%29&pid=1313&viewall=true

Great article, thanks for sharing! The interesting bit about training in a cubicle is it's right on the money, as unfortunately the way things are going at some time in the future aircraft will be flown from a cubicle in the basement of some airline operations center. Also, if you have MS Flight v. 29, for an additional fee (you can pay via the United Airlines kiosk on Marketplace), you will be able to control the flight yourself during cruise right from your very own simpit (see the minimum hardware requirements). Cheers, - jahman.

The prop revolution is on the way, no computers pls. Seat of the pants only

Some nice setups there in those cubicle trainers.
