This is such good news!  I have been using Alan Constables excellent sound files for some time, but have been experiencing much problems again in that after a reinstall of FSX the sim no longer plays the files, I have tried various paths in the soundai.cfg for different planes with no joy, all I get are the default sounds, it's a real pain. I sorely miss FS hot seat as it was an awesome sound environment, if that could be ressurected for FSX and FS9 users I would pay for it.

Meanwhile, if anyone has any suggestions on how to get the sim to stop ignoring the soundai.cfg files I would be most grateful!

I hope so much that this project will be ready until April 8th 2014...

By the way, does anybody know why yesterday in several forums a post of a certain "Petermcleland" appeared promoting a product named Advanced AIBlast, for instance:

In my opinion Advanced AIBlast is the component of FSHotSFX which plays the AI sounds.

Harald - Peter McLeland is a famous flightsim.com user who flew at the RAF in the 60ies and lateron the Trident for BOAC...he is a hero!

As for AIBLAST and his work - i can't add my two cents, just wanted to introduce Peter.

Alex

Hi Alex,

AIBlast is outstanding - as it works within FSHotSFX what this thread is about. In no way I wanted to say anything bad about Peter McLeland, I only wondered about these threads linked above popping up now - at first there was indeed a certain hope that somebody had resolved our problem...

Alright Harald, I just wanted to point out Peter's efforts for the community, afaik he was the first to merge the legendary DF734 into FS2004...those were the times!

As for FSHotSFX and AIBlast - i wish you engineers all the best in making this outstanding software work again!

My best,

Alex
