October 13, 201114 yr Mine is set to auto start and is constantly running process. So your flexnet service is ruining as a process when you start fsx? Sean Green
October 13, 201114 yr Author Hi, The product is registered, so FLEXnet is not the problem. Instructions as per Paul Gollnick Issues can be caused by disabling the aircraft's licensing service in Windows either manually or through a utility that automatically disables services such as GameBooster or AlacrityPC. PMDG does not recommend disabling Windows services, the alleged performance gain is dubious and doing so can cause many problems when a program goes to access a service that has been disabled. To check for the issue: Go to the Start button and type "services.msc" into the search box and press enter. Locate the service called "FlexNET Licensing Service." in the list that comes up. Right click it, choose properties, and under the dropdown menu for "Startup type" ensure that it is set to "Manual". If it's set to anything else, change it to Manual. October 14, 201114 yr Author Hi, At this point, I'd be more than willing to PAY for a long distance phone call FROM PMDG, I will (with one of them on the phone - at my expense) perform all necessary steps to get the PMDG aircraft installed and functioning properly, starting from a newly formatted hard drive followed by the installation of Windows 7 64bit, the installation of FSX as well as both service packs, followed by the installation of their B737-NGX aircraft. Then they can see for themselves that this is not a problem on my end. I would even go so far as to install a camera so they can watch the installation process. If I'm lucky, I get more than one response a day in regards to my support ticket. But this usually doesn't happen, at this rate the B737NG series aircraft will become obsolete prior to me ever enjoying the aircraft within FSX. I didn't realize I was paying $70.00 to become a PMDG-737NGX beta tester. October 14, 201114 yr Author Hi, I'd be more than willing to allow PMDG to take control of my system so they can see first hand that this problem exists. October 14, 201114 yr Right .. it is perfect .. dedicated, no personal data. Did you test another yet... like Level-D just to verify OS and FSX? Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
October 14, 201114 yr Author Hi, Nope been busy formatting / installing / uninstalling / formatting / installing / uninstalling (Windows 7 64bit, FSX, PMDG 737NGX), I think you get the picture. Anyway, I'll give the Level-D a try and see what happens, this shouldn't take long. Nothing else to do as I'm waiting on a reply from PMDG's tech support in regards to my latest ticket entry. October 14, 201114 yr This is just a shot in the dark Mike, but are you using the same source-file (original download) that you used the first-time you installed? It could be a corrupt download that's causing this issue. Jude BradleyBeech Baron: Uh, Tower, verify you want me to taxi in front of the 747?ATC: Yeah, it's OK. He's not hungry. October 14, 201114 yr Author Hi Vaughan, I just installed the Level-D 767 and it works fine, no problem whats-so-ever. Hi Jude, I have downloaded the PMDG 737NGX on three different occasions, on two different computers without any antivirus, spyware, firewall. I downloaded the PMDG file(s) using both Internet Explorer and Firefox. I tried installing the original PMDG download with no hot fixes, that didn't work. I then tried adding the latest hot fix, that didn't work. I then installed the latest offering with hot fix #3 included, that didn't work. I then tried adding hot fix #4, that didn't work as well.
