October 22, 201114 yr I've seen this 3-4 times now...I shut down the APU by selecting OFF on the APU switch, then go about other business. Several minutes later, I come back to the overhead panel, and with the APU switch in OFF the APU GEN OFF BUS lights are illuminated and the APU EGT still indicates running temp. In each instance, if I cycle the APU switch OFF-ON-OFF, the APU GEN OFF BUS lights then go out immediately and the APU shuts down. It's happening after several minutes...long after the cooldown and shutdown should have completed...and the APU GEN OFF BUS lights shouldn't be on in any case after the switch is selected off. It's intermittent, but has happened more than once. October 23, 201114 yr Author I think that this was caused by accidentally moving the APU switch to "Start" first before turning it off. It appears that if start is selected while the APU is running, the start cycle timer starts again, and the APU is started and left running even though the switch is subsequently set to OFF.
