Auto-Refresh when going back

Featured Replies

Until recently, or actually today, I had AVSIM always refresh the page when I went step back (arrow left in Firefox).Did something change on your side that it doesn't do that any more? Now when I go back, my threads are still marked as unread. The other "mode" was a bit more slower, but nevertheless way more practical.

I´ve encuntered the same. Whe I go back with IE9, the threads are still marked unread but when the page is refreshed, they´re marked as read.

Best regards, Steffen

But it was not like that yesterday, I know because I have been using the "function" which was rather practical...

Still works with Chrome.

Maybe it's a plugin doing that. Firefox and IE both here don't do that any more. Would you check with IE, Jim?

We have not changed a thing. I suggest that you might want to flush your browser cache and see what effect that has.

I tried. I deleted the cache, cookies, all privacy things, it still doesn't do that. Removing the profile completely (Users...AppDataRoamingMozilla...) also doesn't solve a thing.I googled this function, it never appears that it's functionality is set from the user side but rather from the webpage side. And one thing also: when I go in the topic, it opens normally, then usually if I would go back, it would have refreshed, and if I go forward again it does the refresh. Just on the back it calls up the cache. On forward never. Are you 100% positive this isn't a server side thing? Maybe something changed by itself... I know, quite impossible, but I ask nevertheless.

Oh and on another note: I noticed Firefox doing a refresh no matter if I go backward or forward, as long as I go over the topic, it refreshes, and if the forum, it doesn't (going backwards or forwards).

I have tried Opera, Safari and IE9 and all do not refresh anymoreregards Jos

I also installed Chrome to test it, as Jim said. It does not work.

So, I complained about this gone back then. I knew it was working before...

Now, if you could only know what you changed now, because it's working again! I didn't change a thing on my setup!

Strange, well it appears to be water under the bridge.

Sincerely,

I was, then I wasn't, then again I was... this came without me changing a single thing.

Okay first of all...

I meant were, not where. Stupid autocorrect!

Second, go to the AVSIM front page, then click on AdBlock, then Don't Run On This Domain.
