November 5, 201114 yr Hi,I've set my default flight at FSX launch with the C172 in a black cockpit state. Nevertheles I still have a GPS light illuminated even though everything is switched off (see screenshot). How to fix this?Thank you My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/
November 7, 201114 yr It may be that that particular gauge is not coded to work only when the power is on.If it is in xml format then you can change it yourself.Otherwise you would have to find a replacement gauge or make one.
November 7, 201114 yr Author hi,thank you for replying but it is the native FSX C 172. I did not change anything in this aircraft. My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/
November 7, 201114 yr It is a graphic issue. The GPS 'light' has two states, off & on. If it is ON then the BMP will look like the GPS light is lit even if there is no power. Flight Simulator does just that, Simulates not replicates and sometimes rather poorly. Please Visit My Website
November 7, 201114 yr Author hiThank you steve. I prefer that it is not a glitch in my FSX set up but I don't like when things are not simulated properly.By the way I visited your website: wow !! great job my friend. The US air force museum virtual visit is so cool!!!Thank you again My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/

In the event that it's an XML. Good Day, Engjell Berisha
November 8, 201114 yr Hi,You can place a dark bitmap in front of the lighted text using an xml gauge(and draw_order..=gauge.., gauge.. if necessary)code: bitmap visible when all electrics offJan Jan "Beatus ille qui procul negotiis..."
November 9, 201114 yr The error can be also corrected by using a resource editor on the FSX Cessna.dll file in the Gauges folder to change bitmaps 21051, 21551, and 61551 to paint out NAV.I use the free XN Resource Editor.THIS IS AT YOUR OWN RISK - BACKUP THE FILE FIRST Gerry Howard
