The start of any beta period is never announced by MS, so some of you can throw that one away.
Actually, they do announce (public) Beta testing.Mark
I have it on good authority that Msoft BIG announcement will be that the Queen (gawd bless you mam) will finally step down ,allowing Charles to assume the thrown.Charles will, apparently abdicate immediately move to Hawaii were he will spend his days flying tourists around Kilauea in a shiny new MaulWhat a guy!!!This I have heard from sources within the Flight development team ,and I can personally GUARANTEE the veracity of this news.CheersAndyKeep drinking you toe
Thank you so much for sharing that with us. It will undoubtedly deepen our understanding of whatMS Flight is all about.Mark

There has NEVER been a public beta for ANY version of FS? Do you know what you are talking about when you post?

Ahh, now your statement has changed from what you originally said, and to which I replied. You originally stated:"The start of any beta period is never announced by MS" ...opperative word being 'any'.I stand by my statement.Mark

Seeing this is a flight simulator forum and we are discussing a flight simulator program, one can conclude we are discussing flight simulator and not Messenger, Live Mail or any of the other hundreds of software programs that MS beta tests.

You really need to reread his post... he's is saying the MS publicly announces the BETA, not releases a public BETA... hence the (*****)Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit, is it?I say this because you list your location as in the USA, so I assume you are American, if not and English isn't your first language then forgive me...

MS have never publicly announced that the private BETA has started as well. Any other ways of saying the same thing?

Than why use the term 'any' Beta? As I've pointed out that is not accurate.Mark

Private and Public are two totally different things. Your claim was that MS never stated when 'any' Beta had started.MarkMark

How many times must you be proven wrong before you stop? Flight Simulator X Beta Has Begun! http://www.msblog.or...beta-has-begun/And while I was looking this up I found about a half a dozen other articles where MS had announced beta testing for various other game titles had began... also several articles announcing products had gone "Gold" too... as well as several patches and service packs entering final beta testing...me thinks you know not what you speak, and chastise others for as well...http://betanews.com/2010/10/19/microsoft-announces-office-365-beta-test-new-cloud-based-office-one-year-before-its-launch/http://arstechnica.com/old/content/2006/02/6189.arshttp://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2009/jan09/01-07ces09pr.mspxhttp://www.rpgamer.com/news/Q4-2000/121700a.html

I take it you realise that msblog isn't a Microsoft blog. From theblog itself;
This blog is totally independant from Microsoft and any other company or organisation and this blog (not the people) is not affiliated with Microsoft at all.
If you actually read the article you'd realise that the blog only 'announces' the beta because of an 'internal source.'And why are you posting things to do with Microsoft Office. This is a flight simulator website. Or did you think this comment was about Microsoft Office;
My guess is that MS will anounce that MSF has gone into Beta testing and is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2012.
?

The general assumption that MS does not announce any beta publicly.... what part of this passes your understanding?

Yes, your assumption fits you perfectly.
