New version of Madeira X available

Featured Replies

I finally managed to get my hands on the update. As ever, it gets harder and harder for registered users, having to jump through hoops to get this stuff.
I was sent an email to advise me that an update was available. I logged into my account, and the download links were there waiting for me (original Madeira X package, the 1.20 update, and a couple of other airports that I purchased at the same time). It was easy.
Not sure much else needs improving, does it?
I wasn't implying that anything needed improving. I was just curious to know if anything else was included in the update.

The 1.3GB zip file I downloaded as version 1.2 contains an exe file that is dated october 7, 2010 named AS_MADEIRAX_FSX_V101. Is this the same with you guys?Jean-Jacques

I had two download links (one for the main package, and one for the update).

I had different servers to choose from and the zip name didn't tell the version, but the description said Aerosoft - Madeira X(1.20). Unzipped it's AS_MADEIRAX_FSX_V120.exe.There's the sort of changelog by the way. I've missed it on the first view.

The scenery has been completely overhauled and now offers new technical highlights and an optimized display of details and performance. The approach lights including the lead-in lighting system is now brighter, more realistic and implemented as 3D object. AES-Lite includes animated vehicle traffic on and around the airport for more realism
The shop account also offers the update patch, which is only 21mb instead of 1.3gb for the full installer.

Well, I choose the second european server because I thought that the first one would have been busier, so it looks that they still had the old version on it. The link I used was the one for the full 1.2 version. I am staying in Spain right now and my original version 1.0 file is in Belgium, so the update is of no use to me, as I had not re-installed Madeira for the reasons you can guess. As I have a very slow connection down here (0.7Mbits/s - telefonica is still at a prehistoric level regarding adsl) I may have another trial during the night, and if that does not work, maybe I should definitively forget about Madeira and Aerosoft.Jean-Jacques

That's unfortunate about the version mix up there. Sorry, Jean-Jacques.I'd say that if the above pictures are ok for you (regarding the lights), the scenery will be well worth it. The moving ground traffic has also been added, which enhances the atmosphere in my eyes.

If you already have the 1.01 version, you only need the small update file then. 27mb.
