November 24, 201114 yr Hi thereWhenever I'm planning my FMC for my flight, when I get my trim number (say 6.09) I can't always put it into the trim wheel. Could this be a problem? What I mean is, if you use your mouse to trim, you will notice that it skips around by like .30, and when I use my Saitek Yoke's B1 and B2 buttons, it skips around by like .2 or .3, but it doesn't always go to exactly what I want, like if the FMC says 6.09 I can sometimes only put in 6.08 or 6.10. Could this be a problem? i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB

November 24, 201114 yr Author You can set it to be exact if you like.Just change the trim setting in FSX's options. What setting? No. I mean is it causing a problem for you at rotation? .01 units of trim isn't really a big deal. No, it just rotates too fast, like I go past what the FMC says. And yes, I meant .01 i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
November 24, 201114 yr Author Try this.In FSX main menu (that is, with no flight loaded), go to Settings->Controls->Buttons/Keys. You then select your joystick from the dropdown, and right below it you select "Control surfaces". You then scroll to Elevator trim, and on the right you have the Repeat sliders.Do note that those appear only if you have assigned those commands to a joystick button.I see it. They're about in the middle. Where do you want me to put it?I'm talking about the repeat sliders by the way. November 24, 201114 yr Isn't that being a little nitpicky i mean one little unit like that isn't even gonna be noticable. Paul Deemer
November 24, 201114 yr Some 0,1-0,3 dosen´t make the ac to be untrimmed./ Leffe Leif A Mikkelsen **********************
November 24, 201114 yr I would not be a problem at all. In the real NG, pilots of course don't have this tooltip coming up. If the trim says 6.09 in the FMC, the pilots can't programm it exactly like that. So sometimes it would be 6.00, and other times 6.20. Should not be a problem at all, you can always trim upon rotation whenever you feel it's needed. And as Jason said, you can adjust the repeat sliders also if you're really considering it as a problem. Arjen Vandervelde
November 24, 201114 yr Author Ok, thanks guys. This cleared up some stuff for me. i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
November 25, 201114 yr In the real jet, the FO and CA indicators can be off by a bit. It really is useless to go the the hundredth of units and you'll be trimming once you get up to the target pitch and the rest of the climb anyways. In other words, don't worry about it. Matt Cee
November 25, 201114 yr Don't bother with it. In my case, the tooltip doesn't even work (probably fiddeling with the panels too much)I just use the scale to set it and never had an untrimmed AC.Bert Van Bulck
November 25, 201114 yr The tooltip on the trim wheel comes and goes. I don't know why. -- X-Plane, Mac OS, XSB
