Making a movie with FSX is a real challenge and making it interesting for a more then average viewer is a difficult job. Especially flightsimmers want to see 80% cockpit handling in detail and a bit surrounding area. Ofcourse there are also who want to see the full 100% flightdeck procedures. To do it in a way with all the bells and whizzles it wil cost you al lot of time and effort.Look at my playlist in 4 parts on youtube with a 767 flight from EDDS (Stuttgart Germany) to LOWI (Innsbruck Austria) with the Eastern Approach for RW08 Circle to Land.Don't forget to set your youtube player at HD-1080P and full screen and turn your sound on.

The total movie time is +/- 45 minutes but costed me nearly 45 hours to produce it and still there are people complaining...These film is including all the Apron, Taxi &Terminal procedures, ATC, First Officer interaction and shots of the surrounding area.It costed me lots of time but producing video movies is a hobby of my although this was my first project from a simulator and I love it...Maybe this winter, when the FS2Crew voice commander is out, I will make another one with the PMDG 737 NGX including the learnings from my first project to improve it.My advice, be sure to have different camera views and be sure that the flight procedures are correct. Although I normally simfly with the TrackIR, leave it out because it is wonderful when flying but very annoying to look at for viewers....Succes with your next projects...PS: on my channel there is also a smaller movie with the PMDG 737NGX LOWI Western Approach procedures...

Simba, I really enjoyed watching that trip. Excellent! You are getting it Aaron.Kind regards,

Nice video. One thing though which clearly shows a major weakness of FSX and FS9, snow with broken clouds in the sky, geez.
I am able to set an overcast layer with plenty of snow in FSX. It looks amazing.3752.jpgBRW, good stuff Aaron.

MSFS

It looks amazing.
No it doesn't. The last similarity to the real overcast skies was in FS2K but the problem was that the clouds were not 3D. It was cool to cruise at FL300 and the cloud bed below you did not allow you a single glimpse at the ground textures, it was a proper overcast. When you were descending and getting closer to the top of the clouds, the sensation of actually being so close to them was like a real thing, just like descending out of the cloud coverage. Yes they've made 3D clouds in FS9 and FSX but the immersion of overcast skies was completely messed up and from what I saw in the Flight preview it doesn't look right again.I've tried to find images of fully overcast skies in FS2K but I found nothing. :/
