Anyone tried Cargo Pilot ?

Featured Replies

I have got an email about Cargo Pilot for $17. My impression is that it is similary to Air Hauler which I considered earlier. I'm looking for a program that keep some track of my flying i.e giving it a purpose.I wan't to fly which planes I wan't (addon planes)Where I wan'tWhen I wan't (the realtime feature of Air Hauler put me off)Could Cargp Pilot be what I'm looking for? How does it compare to Air Hauler?

It's very much simpler than Air Hauler or any of the other "work"-type addons - even "Ideal Flight". You can fly whatever you want, when you want, how far you want. It has a few "gotchas" when installing it, as it's not patched (even though it was released a few years back), so you have to do that (a newer CPTrackerX.exe") - before it will run. You can leave it for as long as you want without penalty. I use it from time to time; trouble-free and not too expensive.

FS Flight Keeper keeps track of all your flights and rates you, you get to pick what aircraft you fly, where you fly to and from and with what onboard. It doesn't simulate economy, for that I'd suggest FSEconomy.

You say it's much simpler than Air Hauler. In what way? I don't get that impression by reading its product description. It seems to contain a lot of things.

I have tried FSEconomy a little and find it a little bit to limited. Basically it only keeps track of your departure and landing at the arrival airport-. But it is fairly easy to use.
you might want to consider VAFS google it.
I don't wan't any subscription fees.

Another alternative is FSCaptain. I own Air Hauler, FS Flight Keeper and FSCaptain and I find FSCaptain the most suitable for what you're wanting to do. It is more complex than Air Hauler and FSEconomy and is more customizable, including it's own ACARS gauge.

I would love to try fs captain again but it always makes me nervous that you have to install the FSCOm gauge inside - does this work now with planes like the pmdg ngx?

Ciao!

To install FCOm, just run the FCOM wizard, which puts FCOM in any plane you choose, it does it for you.I moved from Fspax to Fscaptain , quite nice . and very well supported product.

The FCOM works with most aircraft, but I just tried it with the NGX and it won't display, so this could be my own fault (I only tested it very briefly), or it might be because it can't interface with such an advanced aircraft that uses non-standard FSX code to go about its business.

Hi Paul,FSCaptain works fine with the NGX and many people are using it successfully. When I installed it using the Installer it worked ok, but there are always variables that can go awry. If you send me - dutch ( at ) fscaptain.net - your panel.cfg for the NGX I can take a look at it and see what might be wrong.Dutch

Thanks Dutch, as I've said before, you're the single best reason to go with FSCaptain--not only are you always making it better, but your support finds the customer, haha.I wouldn't worry about it just yet, I only had a brief look to see if it would work for Brian Sommers above and didn't have much time to fault find. I'll have more time tomorrow to take a look after work, so I'll let you know if I still get stuck.

I was never able to get it to work with the BeaverX
