Flight models n' stuff

So I've been reading huge amounts about x planes flight model, how it's inaccurate in the default C172 (among others). Too sensitive. Too bouncy. Flies like a fighter jet.Well, having only flown a Cessna a few times about 14 years ago before I moved to Beech, I decided to try and adjust the flight model of the default Cessna to reflect a little less like fighter jet and a little more like a Cessna. Took me all of 3 minutes.Keep in mind, I am only guessing as to the handling. It's been too long since I flew one of these, so I'm kinda basing it on the Beech Sundowner. This is a free download of a slightly modified default Cessna 172 and not to be passed on as payware. All original authors that are listed in the acf file are to be credited for the original flight model. It is only the acf file. Before doing anything, back up the original C172 acf file.To add this one to the default C172 aircraft folder, download it and simply put it into the Aircraft->General Aviation->C172SP folder and then fire up x plane.Keeping in mind that I am pretty busy with my own projects, I welcome any feedback, but I won't be able to make it ULTRA realistic. This was just a side thing to do while I was having my morning coffee. If I have violated any copyrights, I'll take the file down immediately.Have at it, gents! To download, right click and select "Save link as..."http://dl.dropbox.co...essna_172SP.acfEdit:I should also add, I modified this in XP10's Planemaker. XP 10 aircraft are not backwards compatible, so only use it in XP10.

Thank You very much,I'll give it a try.

Thank you! I will also give this one a try when I've got the time.

Seeing as no negative criticisms have come back, I'm assuming people like this adjusted flight model.

Thanks-just getting around to downloading it...

Jason, you can try it in the demo.

You're welcome. It was a very quick mod. By all means, I welcome feedback and if it doesn't take long, I can mod it further.

I'm bandwidth challenged too so don't have the demo either. There are some things you have to forego living out in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
