December 15, 201114 yr Hey guys,This is my first time I started working on airport and scenery design. I've got the airport layout up to date and that part is working great. My biggest next project is to replace the ground textures at the airport and around the airport. If that is going to be too much for my skill level, the least I would like to do is get rid of the buildings Ultimate Terrain put on and around the airport property. I have downloaded Sbuilder 2.05 but it no longer has a working help file so I am lost with this program.I am pretty much blind in where to go and look for the tools to use for the project I am trying to do. I hope you guys will be able to help out! Thanks! :) / CPU: Intel i7-9700K @4.9 / RAM: 32GB G.Skill 3200 / GPU: RTX 4080 16GB / Freight Pilot
December 15, 201114 yr Kyle, what airport is it? I don't recall Ultimate Terrain ever placing any buildings, might be a landclass issue which is an easy fix.SBuilder or ADE are the tools to use, so you just need to dig in and play with it till you get it figured out, it's not that hard.. December 15, 201114 yr Author I am working on my local airport KPVU. Since I work there, I spend a lot of time there and know the layout very well and the way FS9 has it, its always bugged me so I decided to do something about it. I've learned a lot about ADE, but I can not figure out a thing about SBuilder, especially since the html help file is all broken webpages. With default FS9, there are no buildings in the area, which is good, but when I use it with my FS9 that has UT installed, its got the buildings. Thanks for your reply! / CPU: Intel i7-9700K @4.9 / RAM: 32GB G.Skill 3200 / GPU: RTX 4080 16GB / Freight Pilot
December 16, 201114 yr In your SBuilder folder should be a folder named Html.In that folder should be a file named Sbuilder.chm.That is the SBuilder help file, it is not online.Double click that file and the Sbuilder help should launch.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
December 16, 201114 yr Author This is what I see when I open the Sbuilder.chm (.chm=Compiled HTML) / CPU: Intel i7-9700K @4.9 / RAM: 32GB G.Skill 3200 / GPU: RTX 4080 16GB / Freight Pilot
December 16, 201114 yr It works fine for me on 3 different computers using 3 different OS.7-zip can extract the contents of the .chm file for you- http://www.7-zip.org/You might try re-downloading SBuilder, maybe your .chm is corrupt? If you get it at http://www.fsdeveloper.com/ they have the latest version pre-assembled.They also have a support forum.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
December 16, 201114 yr The most up-to-date version of SBuilder is available right here in the Avsim library:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?&DLID=138252The PTSim support forum for SBuilder is here:http://www.ptsim.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=18and this is the link for all the fora:http://www.ptsim.com/forum/index.phpAs Joe writes, the Help file is most likely corrupt - downloading again will probably solve the problem.Best regards.Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
December 16, 201114 yr Hello:Here's a link to a list of numerous additional "SBuilder for FS9 Tutorials" that should be helpful as well: http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18011PS: IIRC, if you register first at PTSIM support forum system and retain their confirmation 'cookie' on your Windows browser installation, linked help content should be made accessible to you promptly when you click on links in the SBuilder online HTML help.Happy studying !
