In a mad moment I just bought the 737 classic evo. I was expecting the VC to be at least as good as the pre evo one. Lets just say it's more like a cartoon than anything else.I know I should have stuck to PMDG for airlines and have thus learnt a £40 lesson.

Good FDE, nice model, good sounds, great systems modeling. Comparing it to the NGX is silly, given the subject matter and price difference. The Wilco 737 PIC Evo. is a good product.IBTL/D

As much as I hate to continue a topic about another developer, which will soon be deleted/locked, I also want to try and save other people money. You are right, Nixon, this was an absolute disappointment, the old VC was much better. What year is it again? I know I will never take this out of the hangar. I'm not gonna say DO NOT buy this, as it is not my place to say such, but be warned, and pay close attention to their screenshots.

Agreed. I have V1 and enjoy it. But is switching to the Evo worth the money? or have they just made the same plane look a bit different and sold it again? Cause you know, I don't want to buy it again, cause I already bought it... I already fell into that trap with the Star Wars movies.

Please do not put them in the same category. Ever. Wilco has never ripped me off. I see what I get and it's priced well. The ERJ V2 is very, very good.

I don't know which picture you're looking at but from the screens on their website it looks like a big improvement on the old version to me. Not up to NGX standards of course. I'm waiting for more user feedback before deciding whether it's worth the upgrade.Kevin Hall

Hey Zach,I'm with you on this, the Wilco 737 is a great effort from a group a flightsim enthusiats. Unfortunately the downside to the great achievememnts of PMDG is the fact that they have bred a large group of simmers that submit posts like they are on a first person shooter forum.

Imporvement from the old PIC yes I do agreed. I use to have the old PIC.. But although is improvement from the old one is still not up to my expectation and this is not me trying to compare it with NGX. But I can be wrong. I'm waiting to see other who make youtube videos and see. I dont believe wilco has a forum. I never seen one. I'm also not trying to be negative just going by what I see. Hmm. I just gave is a look and it didn't look that bad.Granted, the VC isn't super-immersive looking, it looks like it may do the job. The 2D panels looked pretty spiffy, although it looks like a hi-res wide screen is what you need...the lettering seems a little tiny on me 1280x1024 monitor.With a decent freeware or aftermarket sound-pack it probably is pretty good.I'll probably hold off on it until I really get bitten by another 737 bug.

Let's just say that if the subject were "fine Italian restaurants", Wilco would be kind of like Carrabas, or Olive Gardens. They are not bad places (I go there myself), but it can't quite compare to a high-end authentic place in Rome....PMDG, of course, is that high-end type of place.

Maybe my memory is playing tricks but the original product for FS9 was graphically better. Therefore I was disappointed when I especially saw the Evo overhead panel. Obviously it's just my opinion.Zach have you tried the Evo?As far as the price difference in the UK the Evo is about £5 cheaper(until the 23rd) than the PMDG 737 NGX base package.
