December 22, 201114 yr Hi guys,In the PMDG 737 NGX I have it set to callout 'Approaching Minimims' and 'Minimums Minimums' in the FMC settings yet it doesn't call them out. Does anyone know why this might be?It calls out the other GPWS sounds such as "2500" and "50 40 30 30 20" etc but it doesn't call out the minimums even though I have it set to call them out?Kind Regards,Dan
December 22, 201114 yr make sure you have them set properly. Either Radio or Baro, note that Baro should be set to altitude above MSL, not AGL or above TDZE. --Peter Fabian

(sorry kind of a newbie still getting to terms with everything). I always have the pressure set to what ATC tell me, e.g 2992.Dan

You use the other knob on the EFIS which looks like the one to set the altimeter setting. You'll get green line on the altitude tape, and when you pass this altitude, you'll hear the GPWS voice doing the callout. Alfredo Terrero
December 23, 201114 yr Top left knob on the efis to 'radio' - turn anticlockwisePush the 'reset' button on the efis (its marked 'rst'). Defaults to 50 feet, you can change this with another efis knob.Should work then.P.s. Efis the thing on the left of the 'autopilot' - just in casePps ryan's tutorial covers this nicely Oz Sim Rig: MSI RTX3090 Suprim, an old, partly-melted Intel 9900K @ 5GHz+, Honeycomb Alpha, Thrustmaster TPR Rudder, Warthog HOTAS, Reverb G2, Prosim 737 cockpit. December 23, 201114 yr I had this written yesterday before the forums went down for a bit:Not pressure, but minimums. There are two setting on MINS knob, RADIO and BARO. RADIO is used mostly only on CAT II and III ILS approaches, and is set for DH, that is a value over touchdown zone elevation. Typically will be about 50-200ft. BARO is used for pretty much all else, that is CAT I ILS approaches, RNP approaches and basically all non-precision approaches, and is set on altitude above MSL, that is, DH+runway elevation or MDA or equivalent. Typically ranges from 200ft to maybe 1000ft above airport elevation, depending on what approach are you flying and where. --Peter Fabian

When you are flying into high altitude airports, its a real pain setting the alt starting at 50ft. Rick Hobbs
December 23, 201114 yr Yes, ive got it assogned to a button. Think its in the fmc controls menu, under efis.
