Why can't I add downloaded textures to Carenado A/C?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone.Little problem here, I have the Carenado C152 II for FSX, and whenever I try to add textures on to the aircraft (Following all necessary instructions), they load in FSX and appear as very dark, almost non-visible. Does anyone have the same problem? Can I fix it, or am I doomed to these same textures for eternity?RegardsLuke

You probably missing the Alpha Channel, or your file was not saved in the correct format. Unless you can be more specific how you saved your file, it's hard to pin point the problem.

Like the Specialist said, it can be hard to pinpoint the issue. One thing that must be done correctly is editing your .cfg file. If one line is "off" the texture won't show up properly, i.e. in the texture line, if you don't have the correct texture name listed it won't know where to pull it from. Or if the name or model is typed wrong it won't show up.You also have to make sure the actual files are the correct type, FSX and FS9 use different file types.

You are talking of implementing downloaded textures. If these textures have been downloaded many times its very unlikely there is something wrong with the textures. The textures you want to implement , are they said to be compatible with FSX?If thats the case there must be going something wrong in the way you are implementing them.

The .cfg is correct, the textures are for FSX, and the rest is all correct. They just do not seem to work.

Can you copy the cfg file here so we can see it? Sometimes it's something little or annoying. Are you saying the planes don't show up in the aircraft selection window? Do they show up as a black picture with a "?-mark"....if so they need a "thumbnail". I guess I'm not 100% sure what you mean by "they just do not seem to work".I'm willing to help if you're willing to elaborate.
