December 31, 201114 yr Greetings all.....happy new years eve!!Yesterday I was flying from KSLC, on the LEETZ2.CHE departure. The departure controller told me to follow all altitude restrictions, but I can delete any speed restrictions. I went to the LEGS page, and for the HUCKK waypoint I typed "/12000A" in the right LSK. That didnt change anything. I then thought that because there's also a speed restriction at CHEDO, I should change that one first. I typed "/FL230B" after selecting the right LSK for CHEDO, but again it didnt work. I finally used speed inv intil past CHEDO.I tried looking in the FCOM for the proper way of doing this, but couldnt find the right page. What did I do wrong? Here's the chart: http://flightaware.com/resources/airport/SLC/DP/LEETZ+TWO+(RNAV)/pdfMany thanks. Ron Priever

December 31, 201114 yr Author Vaughan,I knew that part already. But how do you keep that altitude restriction and delete just the speed restriction? Ron Priever
December 31, 201114 yr I would use the Delete button on the CDU and delete the entire restriction with the respective LSK, then re-enter the altitude as /22000 and then punch the Execute button. Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE

December 31, 201114 yr Commercial Member You can't delete just the speed part - strange I know, but that's how it is in the real thing too.Press DEL and line select it on the right side - that deletes the whole speed+alt block and takes it back to using the VNAV prediction. You're right, Ryan....it's weird. Ron Priever
December 31, 201114 yr I set up your route .. did 3 screenshots:Hi Vaughan.Let me ask you a strange question. How did you attach pictures? What are you using? I have found that I cannot attache images anymore. I was able before but not anymore. All of them shown "heavy" even if they are not.Appreciate that. December 31, 201114 yr Ed,After doing your post and post it.. select edit the same post.At he bottom of the screen you can select the full editor to import and attach your JPG screenshot (previously cropped to make like e.g. 150 kb size or so). Then post the final edit edit. The last post you seen contained 3 "attched" JPG images of the FMC pages I wanted to post.I use PaintDotNet / Gimp or Photoshop CS5 to reimage and add Text or arrows etc to the original screenshot .. then save it with a reduced resolution (filesize/ image quality).Post a JPG to let me know you got it going ok.
