Forgive me for saying so, and for being so blunt, but what did you all expect??It was stated it would be a Windows beta product...which means paying for extras. What did you think the extras were? Navy ships? Shipwrecks? Landmarks? Scenery?They only ever showed Seattle.They only ever showed 2 aircraft.They used the word "game" in their news releases.They said it was a 80GB install.OrbX said they were not interested in developing for it. (If anyone knows anything, THEY DO.)I mean, there were enough clues to make it as obvious as the amount of fat in a deep fried packet of fries! They did everything short of coming out with an official news release. Now they come out with the blatant truth, something you all wanted sodesperately, and now pretty much the entire community is ###### at them...without even trying the FREE DOWNLOAD.FSX is still there. P3D is still there. All your favorite add ons are still working in FSX, and FSX still looks good enough and flies good enough.I tell ya, I've never seen this much ######ing and moaning anywhere.It's like watching a bunch of kids in the 1st grade get angry when they're told they won't be getting their favorite toy for their birthday. If my daughter cried this much over something like this, I'd send her to her room with no dinner!It is what it is. See what happens in a few months and if you don't like it, so be it. Yeah well, some times we do things we know better about. I will say it again though, I used that post to show another point, it's not really about xplane at all. It's about doing things we ask others not to do.

That you were tired of people coming over here and doing nothing but trying to stir. It doesnt matter if you preface your post with, 'Forgive me for saying so, and for being so blunt', as we all know someone who starts with an apology doesnt mean it and is going to follow up with something that people will not like. This is a post that you would not be happy with here and you should not have posted it there. BTW, I don't care that you did , that forum is a free for all right now. It's just that you constantly complain about years of having been subjected to that kind of thing. No more than a handful of minutes past telling off tierborn you were there typing up that other one. Given the length of the post I bet you had a break from it to tell off tierborn for doing the mischievous thing you were in the middle of ;)

Which is why.......................the same crummy default aircraft have made it all the way to version 10 of X-Plane. At least Microsoft, would improve from version to version. I hope that laminar listen to us but it seems they mostly listen to the contented existing users. My problem was not that they did or did not listen to me but that I listened to austin myers on podcasts and blogs about what I would get, and then didn't. Is Austin myers what you get when you cross Mike Myers with his alter ego Austin Powers, someone with a bit of an ego acting the part.?

I did that because one person asked me why I appear so agitated when I make posts. I'm not agitated. It might seem that way, but I'm just honest and don't beat around the bush. I thought I would show some consideration.

To me this sums it up perfectly. You write a post, you stir things up in a way you dont appreciate if done here, I call you out on it and I am childish. The only thing you missed is what you did.

I loaded up sublogics fs 2 on a c64 emulator a couple of weeks ago. Boy, what a difference. The 'copy' I found on the net had around 10!! scenery disks. that 10x 160kb floppies. I never had all that when I owned it.
