January 9, 201214 yr Shalom and greetings all my pals,It is my greatest pleasure to participate on 1/8/12 in this not only mind boggling, mind blowing, super endurance, adrenaline-pumping event but also extremely noble charity cause to raise money to help find a cure for Crohn's Disease. The event organizer's family will donate money for every flight flown in this event. Here is my charity flight from KMIA Miami International Airport also known as historically Wilcox Field located in unincorporated area in Miami-Dade County, Florida eight miles northwest of downtown Miami to MMUN Cancún International Airport located in Cancún, Quintana Roo on the Caribbean coast of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula.Stewardesses greeting passengers boarding Eastern Airlines Boeing 747-200!!!A pair of Eastern airline planes at KMIA gates ready for IRF clearance to MMUN!!!I do not remember what was the last time that EVERY SINGLE GATE of KMIA had been filled in single time or single event!!!! Also what amazed me was that despite so many planes on KMIA ground waiting for IRF clearance, I did not have to wait for long time to get clearance to push back, engine start, taxi, and take off!!! That was IMPRESSIVE organized methods by KMIA controllers!!!Being pushed back by airport tractor with background view of planes waiting for turn to take off from runway 8ROn hold short of runway 12 waiting for clearance to take off via NMATE1 departure while the Delta 757 was waiting for clearance short of runway 08R for take offOn hold on runway 12 awaiting for clearance to start take off run while the other Delta 757 was doing same wait for clearance to start take off from runway 08R to create MIND BLOWING MIND BOGGLING stimulatous parallel take off!!!!Airborne on climb to FL360 with ground view of Elliott Key Harbor on Biscayne National Park now executing NMATE 1 departure by turning left to intercept FENIR on way to NMATEClimbing through cloudsStill climbing to FL360 along North Key Largo to intercept FENIRIntercepting FENIR with background view of Southern Glades consists of over 30000 acres at the southern end of the Kissimmee-Okeechobee-Everglades basin and head to NMATEBecause of regulations of those forums not allowing more than 10 screenshots per post, please go to this link to view rest of the exciting flight:here is link: http://vatil.org.il/vatil/board/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=39271Thank you for viewing. Stay tuned for next super exciting flight!!!Regards,Aharon
January 9, 201214 yr That seemed to be an really nice event!! I'm just upon starting to fly online, I really have to attend to such an event in the future. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
January 14, 201214 yr Nice shots, but I don't think Eastern Airlines ever had 747-200's. I know the Wiki page lists it in it's fleet, but I can't find any photos of it or anything else.relevent. They did however lease 747-100's from Pan-Am for a while (I believe 4) until the L-1011's came on line. This is what's in Boeings records as well.
