ILS APPROACH

Hi i know this is a daft question, but when coming in for an ILS approach if the purple mark is too high on the PFD does this mean i am too low or too high on the approach.Thanks Chris,

If I'm understanding your question correctly, you're too low. Imagine the magenta as the path you should be on.

Are you talking about the glideslope/glidepath indicator (which I think is white) or the Vnav Path indicator (Which is Purple/Magenta)?JB

You are too low. The diamond that appears is the glideslope, you want that to be centered by "following" it.

In the Caribbean, ; If the coconut is too high, your too low, and vice versa.If the coconut is wet, it's rainingIf the coconut is swaying you have crosswind :D

Keep pushing the CTR button on the ND mode selector, until you get a profile view at the bottom.* Orest
That is only if you have the VSD option enabled in the FMC, and some liveries don't come with it on as default.
