If I'm understanding your question correctly, you're too low. Imagine the magenta as the path you should be on.

Are you talking about the glideslope/glidepath indicator (which I think is white) or the Vnav Path indicator (Which is Purple/Magenta)?JB

You are too low. The diamond that appears is the glideslope, you want that to be centered by "following" it.

That is only if you have the VSD option enabled in the FMC, and some liveries don't come with it on as default.
