January 23, 201214 yr I was just wondering, does anybody know if a new 757 is in the making ? A freeware that is, the POSKY model is good, but old now, it needs at least some updates like wingflex, the aircraft from Qualitywings and Captainsim look good, but too complex with the panel for many enthusiasts. Too bad POSKY doesnt do planes like it used to, love that they still did a 747-8 and also a new 767 from SkySpirit, is anyone thinking of upgrading the 757 as well ? Thank You
January 23, 201214 yr I fly the QW 757 and really like it. I suspect that, in the future, you're going to see variations of the 737 replace the 757. The 757 was a tremendous leap in technology. I'm not sure there is a great deal of change coming for this aircraft. It will be a sad day when they are replaced.
January 23, 201214 yr Author Yes it does get replaced, which is sad, that is why we need a good and accurate freeware 757 for everyone to enjoy while it lasts, its just that not everyone can afford buying the QW 757 Collection, or not everyone can fly the thing with the realistic panel that it has lol

That is a free download, you'd only have to pay for additional repaints if you wanted them..Regards.Ernie.
January 23, 201214 yr The QualityWings motto is: "Complexity Simplified".I fly it every day, literally - and I can vouch that the panel is extremely friendly. Engine start with one touch of a button, aircraft will fly from default GPS AND the modeled FMC, and it's a beauty to look at. Honestly. If you want to just pop for a spin then the aircraft loads ready to go - set the flaps then roll it down the runway. If not, you can start cold and dark and do it all! It's that versatile.I really do recommend the QW757 - it is THE best add-on I have bought :smile:If you're considering a wait, then Enigma Sim have a 757 in progress, but it's only for FSX. Unlucky for me! Sam Nicholson - UK Only just got back in to flight simming and Avsim after a year or so - pardon me whilst I find my feet again!
January 23, 201214 yr Sam,Our 757 will indeed be FSX only.I'm sorry to read that we give you the impression of a lack of user respect: thanks for the feedback. I thought we were doing a pretty reasonable job, but anyone can improve. Can you give me some specifics to work with? Here's just one example of our feedback to our forum members. http://www.enigmasim.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1018Cheers,Martyn Edited January 23, 201214 yr by microlight

January 23, 201214 yr The QW 757 is not the plane you want if you are used to the level-d 767, leonardoSH MD-8 0, Ifly 737 or PMDG MD-11 (which I don't own but have read it is very well done)...Not only taking about the systems, the VC looks ugly, IMHO. Sorry.Ghiom Edited January 23, 201214 yr by GhiomKL
January 23, 201214 yr Author so much new info for me on the 757, thx guys :) too bad some of them go for FSX only, I'm very devoted to my FS9 lolCan't wait to see the EnigmaSim masterpiece :D
January 23, 201214 yr Commercial Member the VC looks ugly, IMHO.Hmm, interesting. Really can't please everyone I guess. Best Regards,Kyle SchurbDeveloper of Virtual Cockpits, Sceneries, and Liveries. Instrument-Rated Commercial Pilot AMEL, CFI/CFII/MEI
January 23, 201214 yr Hmm, interesting. Really can't please everyone I guess.(Picture of VC)+1. Must say the QW VC is 10x better looking than, say, the Captain Sim any day. Plus with the CS you get an absolutely horrible soundset - QW has a dream soundset.I'm sounding biased - i'd better zip it :( Sam Nicholson - UK Only just got back in to flight simming and Avsim after a year or so - pardon me whilst I find my feet again!
January 23, 201214 yr In fact, it is nice seen from that distance, but things get worse when you view it from the Captain's seat. That is how I got caught and bought it! After several take-offs where I could not maintain V2+15-25 without pulling like crazy on the yoke, I gave up!I don't want to generate a debate. Again my point is: it is a very good product, for the market it targets. Not those who enjoy flying the level-d 767, leonardoSH MD-8 0, Ifly 737 or PMDG MD-11, as I wrote before.Ghiom

I personnaly don't like photorealistic textures. Much prefer the PSS style. But I am probably within the 2% in the FS comminity.Re the bahaviour at T/O, I have tried a few times. You confirm you have no problem and it behaves like the Level-d 767? How do you load the aircraft? TopCat? How do you set the trim?ThanksGhiom Edited January 24, 201214 yr by GhiomKL
