Switching between COM and VLOC in RXP GNS430?

Featured Replies

How do I swtich between the COM and VLOC frequencies in the Reality XP GNS430? The left knobs only manipulate the frequency of the COM and there doesn't seem to be a push small knob in option. Thanks

Middle mouse button the push knob.

I used to be able to select GOTO then type in WA79 and it found the airport and gave me a course. But now, it only finds something like WA791, a waypoint.
Many of the very small/private strips aren't in even the latest Garmin database available for use with the GNS430/530 (June 2011). If you're an Orbx user (guessing, based on going into WA79) you'll probably discover that 2WA1 (Diamond Point) and 1WA6 (Fall City) are also missing. The easiest workaround is to set a user waypoint for each of these. Also, the click spots aren't on the knobs on the RealityXP GPS' as they are in the Carenado GPS, they're inside and slightly below them. On my initial installation, I couldn't get either to work, but even after fixing that problem, I found clicking the scroll wheel as Ryan suggests to be more intuitive, but FYI.Scott
