February 10, 201214 yr Jeff,Thanks for the comment ! Since I grew up around these aircraft (440,580,DC9 etc..) It has always had a place in my heart.. A very good historical site - http://www.hermanthe....org/index.html Well, anyway I grew up getting oil dropped on me while the 440 came over, we had 337's too (United had those, they dripped too) as I lived less than 1 NM from the main runway at that time,on course, the smell of 110/114 was intoxicating. The repaint I did has a whole mix of stuff. Old font on starboard, the later stretch font on port, a pre Republic insignia on the winglets and the GE sign on the powerplants. Also made the paint in such a way it looked kinda real... "I have never seen a really clean looking NC aircraft ever...." It must be the weather & the color! Or -- The pilots went through the worst stuff ever..Tidbit - The Hub and spoke system was developed by no other than "North Central Airlines" I use this aircraft to deliver the team to their game :-) Actually they use 757-3/2s or an A330This is for FS9 LevelD, if you would like the paint just PM.P.S. Not a painter, just a pilot. :-)P.S.S. - Kinda burned the engines out going into LOWI, gotta head back across the pond, stop by @ KGRB, drop a boatload of fuel, have a hamburger, then head 'er on over to KCLI for an engine replacement...
