February 21, 201214 yr ...I'm frankly less than excited about the 777. Pretty much just like driving the 737 in terms of which buttons you push and when - just a lot more time in cruise which interests me not....This is exactly my feeling as well. Sitting longer at cruise is not something i want to do. Johan Pettersen

Would be the only model I fly, if I purchase. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
February 21, 201214 yr than I'm definitely a "######".Shocking news! I wonder how PMDG prices the DC-6 and, despite seeing the need to e. g. fix some J41, I'm looking forward to that one. However, the Just Flight guys just released one. This may not be THE aircraft for the fan.. (how do you call em?), but maybe something to consider if one is up for classic propliners in general.
February 21, 201214 yr For all you "PROPLINER" Fanatics out there , I just purchased the Douglas DC-2 Propliner from Flight 1 Software ( http://www.flight1.c...t=dc2fsxflight1 ) - and I must say I'm quite impressed with the entire aircraft it was ( $29.95 us dollars). The Virtual Cockpit is very well rendered, and uses Photo real textures too ! It comes with 3 paint schemes , BUT you can download as many as 30 from the AVSIM web site for FREE ! I have a bunch of Vintage Propliners in my FSX Gold Sim, so I had to add it, if your into Radial Engine , smokey & loud propliners like me, you'll love this ol' DC-2 Dog ! I can hardly wait for PMDG's DC-6 propliner to come out, tho I just purchased Just Flights DC-6 Boxed version recently because I already have Just Flights Lockheed Constellation package too. Any word on the date of PMDG's Release of their DC-6 ??? Have fun ya'll ~ the JetrangerI should of stated that the photo above is NOT the DC-2 from Flight 1 Software, but its of the Avio 51/156 Propliner , thats Highly Detailed ( 3 Engine Radial Propliner ) with Virtual Cockpit and several different paint varients - for FS-2004 and FSX too !! You can add this Vintage Gem of a Propliner to your collection for "FREE" right here from this other site ---} http://simviation.co...n+Shupe&x=0&y=0 and if ya wanna see a Video of it I made on YOU TUBE, well ya'll can see that too, right here -----} hope to see ya'll around in the wonderful flight simulator Skies in those propliners ! the Jetranger Edited February 21, 201214 yr by Jetranger

Great thing and it helps the museum with the money. I even took her to Antarctica where she did fine. :( Edited February 21, 201214 yr by CoolP
February 21, 201214 yr Yes Sir, you are Very Correct' on that it is the "Uiver DC-2" propliner, the 1 before the actual DC-3, it is very awsum aircraft and greatly detailed, I accidentaly Discovered it and came across it while in a search, I seen it and thought , ohhh its probably another Cheesy Aircraft thrown together just for sales,,, WRONG -WRONG - WRONG - boy did I feel dumb after assuming that , after I purchased it, and loaded it and the other 18 paint varients from AVSIM's site, and took sum time to actually get into flying it , I was really impressed actually, and the sounds of the Radial Engine are right up there too,,, damn near perfect. I got away from flying all that Jet Stuff, about 3 years ago, and got tired of seeing everything from 30,000ft & 40,000ft at fast speeds, got real boring real quick and all those Tubular Jetliners look the same, just with different Corporate Logo's on them, and all look like they just rolled out of the paint booth, no wear, no dis-coloration, no weathered look, just another Tube in the Sky with another boring Corporate Logo down the side. I decided to get into propliners , kinda like Drag Racing, their loud, they smoke, and you have to tinker with the fuel and throttles a lot and mind the guages, there is no glass cockpit, and all that automation stuff on these Vintage older 1930's 1940's 1950's 1960's Propliners, its more hands on, like mounting a Blower on your HEMI' and headin to the Drag Strip, for those of you old enough to know what a HEMI' is or what we reffered to as a Rat Motor back in my days. Gotta love those Pratt & Whitneys and Wright Cyclones Radial Engines - Vrooooommmm !!!!! I should probably change my name from Jetranger to PropRanger ???
February 21, 201214 yr Fun thing. In the rw, the fancy avionics may be the way to go and don't fail to impress (e. g. something like the G1000 is true gem I think), but in the sim, that old stuff develops at lot of attraction for me. Took me some time to admit, but now I love the old ways of flying and hopefully don't fail too often. Thanks for the tip on the Avio 51/156 Propliner.
February 22, 201214 yr Cool IP your very Welcome for the AVIO aircraft tip. Might wanna try checking this out too, its also awsum tho not a propliner, but extremely highly detailed to the max ! heres the link -------} http://www.warbirdsim.com/
February 22, 201214 yr Looks like a nice one too indeed. Side note. Be careful with the large pictures in the normal (non screenshot forum) threads. I think they prefer some thumbnails instead. However, thanks again for the HU.
