February 8, 201214 yr Hi,After getting the color, brightness, gamma and other little tidbits adjusted, it really is nice. Running with 1080p, a little less than what I was using before, but it looks quite nice and the width of the monitor makes it feel a little more like the size of a cockpit. One issue that I cannot figure out is that the nividia driver is identifying this as a Samsung with the proper resolution but only 60hz. I see no options on the monitor side through their tools section nor through nvidia.Anyone have any suggestions.RegardsBob Officially retired

If you go to the tools menu for the samsung, There is a "Picture" option. Once selected, scroll down to"Auto Motion Plus". There you have a few options. I used "Smooth" and did see an improvement.Bob Officially retired
February 9, 201214 yr it's probably your cables,HDMI 1.3 cables do not support 120hz, only 60hz. HDMI 1.4 does. be sure to use the latest cable, make sure it is a 1.4a or something.I believe dual link DVI will support 120hz, but standard DVI does not. Most buy these new TV's and monitors but continue to use old cables, they need to be upgraded too.worth checking,Ron.

Here is what I got from Samsung:Thank you for contacting Samsung Electronics. We understand your TV displays that the picture is 60Hz rather than 120 Hz.Since this TV is designed to be operated in 120Hz, and there is no option of “Turning Off or On” the 120Hz. It is always on. Info button displays the frequency of the source and not the TV. This TV automatically converts the 60Hz received from the source to 120Hz.The TV converts the signal to 120Hz internally and will display on the screen, the message that appears on the screen when you press the Info button is the frequency of the Input source but not the TV. February 9, 201214 yr hi Bob,makes sense, sounds like it should be ok then, save you buying expensive new cablesRon.
February 9, 201214 yr Author hi Bob,makes sense, sounds like it should be ok then, save you buying expensive new cablesI also found in the options for the TV a "Game Mode". It seemed to add sharpness more than anything. I still need to go in adjust brightness, backlighting etc, but I must admit it is nice and smooth and very happy with my purchase. Takes a little getting used to as it is just in your face big. Because of the size it feels more like you are in the cockpit.BobRon. Officially retired
February 12, 201214 yr Author Have you tried to manually set the vid card to 120hz?No way to do it that I can find. It shows 60hz and below. The Samsung tech said it would see it as 60hz but internally the TV will use 120.ThanksBob Officially retired
February 12, 201214 yr Ah yes, just checked the nvidia control panel. There is a setting that says "Custumize" that I'd used in the past, but its greyed out now. :/
March 28, 201214 yr In order to get 120Hz you'll need to use the Dual Link DVI cable. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
March 28, 201214 yr You need to use the Dual Link DVI port on the back of your graphics card.http://www.amazon.com/Cables-To-Go-26911-Connectors/dp/B0000X0VCY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1332936315&sr=8-1
