Is your sound just a single event of the spoiler handle, not sound of wind outside?In that case try in the xml gauge:
(A:sim on ground,bool)  (A:Spoilers handle position,percent) 40 > andif{  (L:spoiler,number) 0 ==if{  1 (>L:spoiler,number) 1 (>L:spoiler sound,number)  }  }els{  0 (>L:spoiler,number)  }

Where can i find that soundfile?

Hello Jan,I believe Bill is looking for the sound of the autospoiler deploying on touchdown (the sound of the spoiler handle moving from the armed position to the fully extended position)I use the sound from the Tinmouse 2.It is a useful sound as one can hear that the spoilers have been deployed when one is busy looking over the glareshield.

If the sound already exists on the video one can, using free software, change it to mp3. Then re record the section you want as a wav file. Easy!vololiberista

Questions:1. Must the spoilers be armed?2. Must the sound be heared anytime you move the speedbrake handle a bit or only on/off or when they are armed?3. In other words, only a sound on the ground when the speedbrakes come automatically on and off?

For me this is an autospoiler situation as the sound is of the armed spoiler lever moving quickly to it's full deployed position.....spoiler handle up/off should be a different sound.The sound of the speedbrake lever moving more slowly (say to set a position to slow the airspeed in flight) would be a different sound and not a very important one. (the sound of the spoilers on the wing being more fun in this case)The easiest way to differentiate between the two would be whether the aircraft is on the ground or not. IMOThe most useful sound as I said before is that of the autospoiler deploying. IMO

At the moment the sound is looping when the spoilers are deployed on the ground and dont turn off until I retract them, so I hear a constant autospoiler "disco club" sound in the cockpit.

Tried it out, but when the panel loads, the sound plays even before touching the spoilers and it wont play when moving the spoiler handle on the ground.

ok,the code i send is working in my panel,try instead this one from upstairs:(the spoilers must be armed before landing)

(A:sim on ground,bool)  (A:Spoilers handle position,percent) 40 > andif{  (L:spoiler,number) 0 ==if{  1 (>L:spoiler,number) 1 (>L:spoiler sound,number)  }  }els{  0 (>L:spoiler,number)  }

Your code doesn't look quite right as you have set your L:var to zero when the a/c is on the ground and your spoiler handle is above 40%

(A:sim on ground,bool) (A:Spoilers handle position,percent) 40 > andif{(L:spoiler,number) 0 ==if{ 1 (>L:spoiler,number) 1 (>L:spoiler sound,number) } }els{ 0 (>L:spoiler,number) }

Obviously you need (L:spoiler sound,number) to be one otherwise it won't play! Take out the first if{}Also you may need more control variables.vololiberista
