February 11, 201214 yr Can anyone PLEASE make/point me to a Washington Dulles Intl. Airport scenery? The current one is missing a newly added runway, and it's keeping me from doing many VATSIM events, such as the recent (or ongoing as of 8:17PM, February 10, 2012, at the time of this posting) ZDC FNO.Thanks. i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
February 12, 201214 yr Author Have you tried this:http://www.flightsim....php?fid=148693scott s..Scott, what's an AFCAD? i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
February 12, 201214 yr Scott, what's an AFCAD?That´s a file which has all the data for runways, taxiways, gates and navaid at the airport in it. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

February 12, 201214 yr Firstly, both files will be BGL files. The main difference between an AFCAD (If you're referring to FS 9) is that you'll just get the updated ground and no additional enhancement like trucks, more realistic terminals and so on. If you speak of FSX, all these enhancements can be put into such an file but in FSX it's called AFD (Airport Facility Data). In FSX, the difference. Between that and an addon scenery is only marginal (Correct terminals, real ground textures, …). But for an airport flying there once or so it is definitely the way to go. February 23, 201214 yr Moderator Can anyone PLEASE make/point me to a Washington Dulles Intl. Airport scenery? There are two payware versions for FSX. One by BluePrint and one by Imaginesim. Google is surprisingly good and finding these things if you do a search for KIAD for FSX or Dulles airport for FSX :-)Here are the links to each scenery.BluePrint version: http://www.blueprintsimulations.com/BluePrint_KIAD.htmlImagineSim version: http://www.imaginesim.com/kiad01.htmBTW, I dont have either version, but the Imaginesim has a free demo you can install to try it out before you buy. Generally speaking BluePrints are good on FPS but lower on detail and looks, but have a low price, while Imaginesim's look better but are sometimes more FPS demanding and higher priced. I'd try the Imaginesim demo first before you buy it. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

February 26, 201214 yr Commercial Member Diego, in which case I'd go with the freeware upgraded AFCAD linked above. It won't have all the hangars looking like real life, but the navigation frequencies, courses, runways, etc. will all be there. All the things you need to correctly land on VATSIM.It looks like blueprint also offers a free AFCAD file for KIAD: http://www.blueprintsimulations.com/BluePrint_AFCADS.html Edited February 26, 201214 yr by tutmeister Owner, Fulcrum Simulator Controls. fulcrumsim.com facebook.com/fulcrumsimulatorcontrols instagram.com/fulcrumsimulatorcontrols twitter.com/Fulcrum_SC
