February 14, 201214 yr Hi there PMDG supporters and ownersI'm a fan of Flight Simulator era for some long years, and considering those long years of flying trough the virtual world , i see the beautifull development of PMDG and so others 3rd Part Add-ons companies. This question ( better, this simples request ), came to me when looking for some challenging to fly.I really can't find a decent L1011 Tristar and Airbus A310 for FSX , not on your line of quality, and not even close to my high ( and a lot of other FS pilot's) standards. The question is....can you consider making one of those ? Think about it, those planes are on the way to the scrapyard.... :( you wouldn't probably have a chance to do it well when they're grounded.I know that's not your tip of plane , but you guys are the right guys to do it :Peace:Sorry if this isn't the right place. With the best wishes for all PMDG staff( go hard on 777 and DC-6) and waiting for a reply ( no matter what the answer)Pedro Pereira Edited February 14, 201214 yr by JohnyPiloTAP Best Regards Pedro Pereira
February 14, 201214 yr Commercial Member Some will argue that requests don't have much ground here, and decisions are based a lot on the market, but I'm with you on the L1011 thing. As I was growing up, trijets were kinda the thing, so I have a soft spot for them. Kyle Rodgers

The original aircraft is based the INS navigation system meaning no waypoints, just WGS-84 coordinates (GPS) but they are planning and soon releasing an FMC update so you can enter SID and STARS and use it like modern airliner. Maybe it isn't what you wished but have a look.Manfred Manfred G. Ships are cooler that you think.

February 15, 201214 yr Get the MD11, it's like a rip-off of the L1011 TriStar. i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
February 15, 201214 yr I support the L-1011, we'll just have to wait and see if it makes the classics line. Thanks, Kevin L
February 15, 201214 yr Author MD-11 is not a L-1011 , not even close. I'm thinking on making a list of people who desire the L-1011 and deliver it to PMDG staff :( Best Regards Pedro Pereira

February 16, 201214 yr If you are running FS2004 there used to be a Russian Developer "Sim Soft Workshop" ala SSW that made a pretty good A310. It's not the fanciest VC but the 2D panel is excellent and the systems implementation was pretty good.I ran it for years with FS2002 and it was one of my favourite.Unfortunately, SSW seems to have shuttered it's doors years ago, but it is still available on the FSPilotShop http://www.fspilotshop.com/product_info.php?products_id=394You could try to get it to work on FSX, but i'd be a risk. I lost my original installers years ago and there's no where else to get them but the FSPilotShop nowadays. Patrick Houghton

February 16, 201214 yr I would buy an L1011. PSA had a bunch of those and I remember riding them a few times. Much under-appreciated. But, as much as those of us "in the know" love the MD-11, I've always been of the impression that it wasn't the world's biggest seller. That's pure speculation, but I think there's a question about how much of a market there is for "vintage" ish planes. And that's not just PMDG, I think that's everyone. Me, I love the J41 and MD11. I think a lot of simmers just want heavies, but I'm guessing. (And admittedly, I may be an unusual customer. I actually have no interest in the 777 - not because it won't be good, I'm sure it will be - but because I can't imagine flying it much.) The DC-6 and the DASH interest me. My suspicion is that the DC-6 and its sales will determine how many other "vintage" projects they do in the future. The L1011 kind of fits in that mold, I would think. So, who knows. As for the Airbus, I get the sense that a bus isn't near the top of the PMDG list of possible projects. But, from what I've gathered in these forums, there's people who think highly of the potential from FS Labs and their airbus. I know its a 320, but they might have a 310 sometime in the future. Worth watching, I suppose, if you're gung ho on an aribus. Doug Orvis PP-ASEL-IA (USA), Based at KHEF Picture courtesy of Kyle Rodgers
