Hi everyone- I've been ignoring the tearing from what looks like no Vsync for ages now but it gives me a headache. I have full and windowed Vsync enabled in the config, I've used *******' tool as well as the nvidia inspector, it still looks like Vsync is disabled.My rig:i7 2600K OC 4.712gb RAM2x 3gig 580's SLI in NV surround- FSX display rez 6096x1200FSX Deluxe to SP2Is this because I prefer to run in DX10 preview mode? If it is, I guess I'm willing to live with it........thanks in advance- I'm new to FSX, coming from iL2, ROF, A-10... I must say the support in this forum is amazing.Sean

As I understand it, it is broken in DX10 mode, as well as some other things... there may be somewhat of a fix for that, but I am not aware of it - if there is hopefully someone that knows will chime in.I myself could not fly without vsync, so I much prefer running in DX9, especially since i use Track IR4.

understood it's a DX10 issue- I might play around some with DX9 as I also have the flickering runway markings issue. It's the water look that keeps me coming back to DX10- is there a way to upgrade the water appearance in DX9? I use REX to tweak the water and sky pallettes.Sean

I too use REX to weak the water and sky, if there is another way to upgrade the water appearance in DX9 I at least am not aware.

By default, forcing Vsynch will not work in windows mode, only full screen.I believe I have seen where some folks have posted what they did to work around that, perhaps a search might get some results, or someone that has done so maybe will come along that can advise on this.I always have vsynch forced on through Inspector, but I also only run in full screen mode...
