March 2, 201214 yr Does anyone know what they plan to do with the AirTran aircraft? Maybe repaint the entire inventory once the acquisition is complete? On wikipedia it´s written that they are going to repaint all aircrafts of AirTran in SWA colors. March 2, 201214 yr It's not TVs, it's Wifi.I've seen SWA 737's with that exact hump at KHOU and when you get on a SWA plane you can read in their magazine (whatever it's called) about how they are putting it on all their planes (the one I was on wasn't fitted yet).Pretty cool thing to add to airliners IMO. SWA is a great airline but dead boring since almost none of their planes have had entertainment onboard for long flights. The internet will change all that. The best part was I believe it was only $5 for the flight to use. Here's a pic:EDITED BY MODUh yeah, as Keith said the hump is mearly a SATCOM.Used for what ever they want. TV, WI-FI, spying for MLB, virtual sudoku puzzles and chatting with hot women on "the party line". :( Al Stiff
